Napier Press Conference (without AR for once)? Maybe we won’t have any press conferences until after the game. Any word on who our QB will be? Maybe waiting to see if any of our remaining QBs are going to enter the Portal. Might be a game time decision. Two-a-days so the new QB can get in as much practice time as possible? Maybe we’ll start both Johnson and Etienne and direct snap to one or the other. Hopefully, neither would get injured. Who is our 5th string RB? Wright and Lingard are gone. I’ll bet whoever starts will be handing the ball off and will throw few passes like we did against Georgia in 2014. After all, running the ball is our strength and we won’t have AR showing off his arm. I mean, what else can go wrong?
So, we’ll have three practices next week, a travel day, then the bowl game. And, people were getting on my case when I suggested we not go to a bowl game, telling me how valuable the extra 15 practices were going to be for our team next year. Maybe that’s what they were thinking. Nice! Question: Can you have practices after you’ve played your bowl game?
Probably a Sat,Sun,Mon practice. Tuesday will be game plan practice. Wed travel, TH and Fri walk throughs and bowl festivities. Sat game
Coaches are probably waiting to see who they will even have to play a bowl game with until they start practices. The more practices we have the more chances guys will get hurt. This is turning into letting the guys who usually don't play have a chance to step on the field. Not a bad thing but not the product you want to send most the way across the country to line up against a Top 20 ranked team on national TV. I'm not against playing the bowl game but the transfer portal and NIL deals have to be regulated or why bother to show this on TV.
It was posted some where in another thread that BN stated that practice starts today and they will get 13 in.
Won't get all 15 practices in. Also Early signing period is coming up, so we are kind of juggling that too. Timing kind of sucks for this bowl. I guess that's what we get for sucking this season.
