Williams pushed him around a bit, but his effort is there. I think he'll be key on Broome and if we get there, Flagg. Flagg is 6'9, I worry about Will trying to guard him.

I was listening to the SEC channel on sat. radio this afternoon and the head basketball coach they had on there said the starters pay for the SEC starts at 1 million and up. If that is the case then they have a good chance of keeping people like Haugh another year. I can't remember what coach they had on though as I missed the first part.

Would love to see Clayton sneak into the first round. Don’t see him playing the point in the NBA and his defensive skills are questionable but he can definitely score in bunches. I believe Clayton was projected as a possible late second round pick had he stayed in the 2024 Draft so it definitely tutned out to be a good decision to come back and improve his status this season.

Hopefully Haugh and Condon do the same this season.

Condon has to develop some type of shot around the rim. He’s really struggling with that down the stretch.

I know nothing about sir Thomas How, except for the few interviews of him in Yutub, etc. I have this feeling that he's a good kid and not the kind of person that chases $$$.

The talent level is scary. But they haven't faced a defense nearly as good as Houston's.

I don't think Thomas is driven by need as much as many college athletes are, plus there is the intangible 'grew up a Gator fan' element that plays into some decisions, like Timmy. I am unaware that any of the '04s grew up Florida fans as Thomas did, but they all stayed for the fellowship of what they built together. There is some element of that with this team as well. Hopefully the confluence of those intangibles will lead to Thomas' decision to return.

It will all depend on what both Haugh and Condon feel about playing college ball at UF. I know nothing is set in stone but methinks they are going to try to replicate the '04 legacy.

Haugh isn't as laterally quick as he would need to be at the 3 in the NBA, but few players are complete. So, he brings dogged determination on rebounds and weak side blocks. But THE biggest thing will be his reliably good 3 point shooting. He has what it takes to make it and live a life like Dorian Finney-Smith.

That’s true. It’s also true that Houston hasn’t seen an offense like Duke’s, and Duke’s defense is almost as efficient as Houston’s.

I think this will be a battle, but I see why Duke is the favorite.

Sneak? I think someone takes him in the top 10 now especially on how these next 2 games might go. As a pistons fan I’d take him along side Cade Cunningham

Their guards are tall, all three are at least 6’6”.
The bigs are very quick, can run and shoot. Everyone on the team are good defenders. A tough matchup for anybody. 5 star bench helps also. Houston won’t back down but they are not elite when it comes to three point shooting, which I think will be their downfall against Duke.

You can't use that phrase about another team. It's in the Gator Handbook...

Statistically, Houston shoots the three very well. Houston’s top three scorers all shoot better than 40% from three, and their team average is 40%. For comparison, Duke’s average is 38%, Auburn’s is 37%, and Florida’s is 35%.

He's at least as quick as Chandler Parsons, and playing the 3 position in the NBA worked out very well for him.

Houston is third in the country in three point shooting percentage. They just don't shoot a ton of them, in part because of their pace.

Nick on the paid board has reported that NIL pays better than 2d round guys. I don’t think the 2d round guys get big guaranteed contracts.

Everything keeps changing and I’m sure there are all kinds of deals, but I don’t think 2d round picks get guaranteed deals
