Haugh returning to Florida

    That play was one of our many great highlights from our tourney run. Historically Great Awbrin knew their Historically Great Season was over at that point, and that all the press clippings about how historically great they were amounted to nothing in the face of the Gators. There was nothing left to do but award themselves a trophy and a championship for being the greatest historically great team ever.

    I’m sad we haven’t seen a video like the ones they did during the season showing the ramp-up to big games. The optimist in me says they are working on a spectacular edition for the NCAA run…which will make for truly epic video presentation.

    Frankly, it’s disappointing, in retrospect, that UF has not done more media-wise, to burnish the legends that we have in our hi-def age era. I’d love insider-edition videos that are made by Gators for Gators, not schlock produced by CBS or what not. The old NFL films style comes to mind as exemplary.

    Yes funny! Now, having carefully examining the last minutes of UF vs UCon, Md, Tex Tech, Awbrin, and Houston at least 19 times each, I conclude the most important plays include:
    vs Tex Tech - Haugh’s two 3 pointers
    Clayton’s late scoring spree
    vs Awbrin - our bigs forcing Broome to go to his right in 2nd half for only 3 pts
    vs Houston - our lockdown defense late 2nd half
    All games - late FT shooting
    - completely wearing down opponents in 2nd half!

    I read the TT coach said we wore them down badly in that game; said his guys were completely gassed!!
