You're right. I should have said "winning" high office. Although, I'm not convinced a normal nomination process would allow a loon like Kamala or Gretchen through a full Democratic primary, but give it 4 or 5 years and yep...

Gallop poll? Why not just go to BallotPedia? The thing that makes people's opinions or polls so skewed to one side or another is that the registered Independent voters are NOT always Independent, and sometimes they lean heavily to the Right or to the Left...

The difference is that Ballotpedia relies on party registration. Gallup which by the way has been a Republican-leaning pollster also includes voters in states without party registration; I happen to live in one by the way.

The truth is...most of these polls would be better served polling the Independent voters to get a better feel for who is leading. But then again, some Dems will flip to the other side, like some Pubs will flip too.

I would poll registered Independent voters.

I mentioned upstream that it was a take off on the feed a friend videos that took place over the summer.

Here is an example of something being fed that actually looks like a host (it is round) far more than a dorito does:

Literally has ZERO to do with Catholics but I doubt you or anyone else of your ilk cares.

I can’t say the basis of the video is much better though. It’s a stupid tik tok trend of feeding a friend and then panning to a stone faced person doing the feeding:

I can't believe you keep coming back here with asinine threads. They always end the same way:

You post some crap with the exact talking points FoxNews fed you.
Posters respond, some unkindly, but others respectfully challenging or debunking your OP.
You get your feelings hurt and then leave for a while.

I’m trying to figure out whether to be insulted or take this as a backhanded compliment.

Ha, I didn't really intend it to be positive or negative. I just find it kinda funny when I find out about these sorts of things after everybody else.

Unfortunately, I believe this meme has it backwards. Dems are Whitmer, MSM are the other female(?)

Three pages of outrage before we find out they misinterpreted the original act? Again?

At what point do people realize that if we are curious before we are judgmental, everything works better?

Nothing to do with Catholicism? She is clearly mocking the Eucharist and then makes things worse by saying the video is being “misconstrued”.

I am Catholic and no, this video doesn’t bother me but I can see how it can be offensive to others. Whitmer, like many other politicians, has a history of doing some really stupid things (remember during Covid when she enacted some of the strictest lockdown policies in the country and then was photographed partying in a crowded bar?) and this was another clear example.

Im not a Catholic thus not offended by any perceived similarities.

In fact the act of formal organized communion may not even be Biblical.

It evolved from the last supper of Jesus and His disciples before the crucification. He said "as Often as you eat bread or drink wine" do it in "remembrance of me". It is likely more accurate that everytime we eat or drink we are to be in a constant state of remembering. The formality is questionable in my opinion.
