Oh I agree. My point was more that UcheaT believes they're back on top of the mountain to stay after a single good year.

Great post. The only thing I diagree with is calling a bowl game pointless. Bama kicking that ass is not pointless. That’s part of culture. They never lay down even if it’s a game of checkers. It’s a mindset. Us getting our asses handed to us does have a negative impact.

They are at a place where they can see tge top of the mountain but I doubt many of them think they are on top of anything. They are the 3-4 best team in a conference for a single year. We were sort of there a few years ago but not really. It’s hard to be playing for a playoff spot every year. There s very dmalk group doing that and they aren’t even on good footing yet when it comes to the select few.

I didn't think the Administration stuck their noses into UAA and I think a lot of these "Administration" comments are misdirected and are intended for the UAA management.

I don't know why they misinterpret it either, it's quite clear. My line of thought was that the UAA "could" redirect funding indirectly by reducing the costs to the Bull Gators, thus freeing up available cash to fund the NIL. Done with a wink and a nod, if you will.

Your assessment of the other programs you list is laughable. Michigan “crushes” us? As I recall the last time we played them we “crushed” them.

UNC also “crushes” us? Don’t make me laugh

UGa? In the same 40 year span that we’ve risen from party school to elite, our record against UGa is 24-16 Gators

Ref$u? Seriously? We have to respect them as a good academic institution? That tells me all I need to know about you Matt

Your argument fails on multiple fronts

    Not so fast my friend….

I’m all for being “friendly”, but through damn near all of our recent 10+ year drought we’ve still been able to beat Tennessee. And you’re far from being “back” at this point simply because you finally beat UF and were runners up in the SEC East. You’re trying too hard here

Ok @friendlyvol it’s not all that “friendly” to join a rival’s board, predict 12 years of doom, and then give the old ‘come on man’ response when one of these rivals pushes back. With no explanation either. So tell me please, what in my post do you disagree with, or where was I not speaking the truth?

The Administration makes up a large portion of the UAA:

I do think Tennessee is back and will go 10-2 again in 2023. I think 9-10 wins seasons are going to be a regular thing and Tennessee made very good hires in AD Danny White and Head Football Coach Josh Heupel. I don't think Tennessee will overtake Georgia any time in the Future but i think they can beat Alabama every now and then.

So, 10-2 and conceding the east to Georgia is "back". Got it.

I would say it's back because 9-10 wins was what Tennessee was with Johnny Majors and Phil Fulmer until 2005.

Hey I jumped on your prediction that Florida was going to sink to the depths Tennessee did after firing Fulmer right on up to last season. Heupel certainly looks to be better than the 6 (six) head coaches that preceded him since Fulmer was dumped. Damn, we’ve only had 3 bad head coaches in a row - I feel better already! Thanks friendlyvol, looks like you might be friendly after all :D

As SeabudGator pointed out, piling on the "Administration" is probably overblown. We keep seeing complaints about the admissions dept., but the minimum requirements for admission to UF (and all other state schools in FL) are: basic HS English, math, & science, 2.5 GPA, and either an SAT of 24/25/24 or ACT of 19/17/19. It's certainly true that admission for regular students is extremely competitive, but athletes only need to meet the minimums.

Yeah, you have to love a dollie showing up and strutting around our board after a two loss season when they got handed their ass by no less than USCe. The roosters hung 63 on them. But they have plenty of moonshine, and are what they are as a fan base. The Volsheimers is strong with them.

We will see what the future holds.

Boosters that pay for 30 mil classes probably need a lot more than reduced booster fees to fund the payroll for an entire team, especially since nil came into the picture. I wonder what Bamas booster system looks like as to how many there are? A charger for the top few kids isn’t what kids are looking for anymore.
