Dems would need a 2/3's majority in both houses and then 3/4's of states to agree, because it's a Constitutional amendment, but they surely would if they had those types of majorities. Again, all you have to do is look at liberal strongholds at the local level to understand what they would do with gun laws if given the authority.

Again, in her own home city, you cannot buy a gun at a store and you cannot open carry nor conceal carry a firearm. This applies to ALL guns, not just certain ones.

So you agree that it isn't going to happen?

What role did she have in making policy in her home city?

Did she fight against it in any way? Did she fight for Second Amendment rights of citizens for California when she was a Senator? For a Democrat that's just another way to support it without having to commit to a position, something Harris is very good at.

I believe this assertion by the scarecrow as much as I believed her assertion that Joe Biden was not suffering a decline in mental capacity. Kama lama ding ding simply cannot speak the truth.

You do this same routine with the football team. You’re about as bad as @rivergator. I’m not going to spend actual time attempting to explain something to someone whose goal is to see just how far down in the sand they can plant their head.

No, you cannot. There’s only been 1 issued in the city in the last 25 years. You have no clue. Technically it’s legal if the SF sheriff signs off on it. The problem is the SF sheriff has only signed off on 1 in the last 25 years. ie @rivergator doesn’t understand how crooked liberal politicians circumvent the Constitution. You couldn’t get a concealed carry license there if you tried. None of us could.

I never said it was going to happen. I said if your people had the votes, they would definitely make it happen and they would 100%. Just like the GOP governors who put the total kobash on abortion rights.

You're just making figures up, now. It's true, it's been difficult to get one in the past. But it's issued more than 1. And since the Bruen ruling, it's had to relax its rules on who could get one.

I read your argument as saying because the gun policies in her hometown were over the top restrictive, she would enact over the top restrictive gun policies as president. Was I misreading what you wrote?

So, lemme get this straight. For a long time it was impossible to get a concealed carry permit in San Francisco, Kamala’s backyard, because the SF sheriff was denying every application that came in. But because a conservative SCOTUS ruled that practice as unconstitutional in Bruen, effectively forcing the SF sheriff to comply with our Constitution, I’m supposed to believe your party doesn’t want to take our guns away and wouldn’t do so if given the power? Even though they have already clearly demonstrated they would severely curtail constitutional gun rights if given the opportunity and had to be rebuffed by the high court? Is that the argument you’re making?

I think it’s a pretty safe bet that the woman who once campaigned on mandatory buyback programs, the woman who was very instrumental in SF local politics, the woman who is of the same party as the one that’s been in power in SF for decades, the woman who was deemed the most liberal senator out of 100 senators, etc etc…. I think it’s pretty safe to assume she is supportive of how San Francisco governs on guns. If you have something from her past that provides a plausible argument against the idea she is supportive of those local policies, please provide it here.

Otherwise, it would be foolish to argue that if given the majorities necessary at the federal level she wouldn’t enact the same as president. She is a dyed in the wool San Francisco radical. That’s not hyperbole. That’s who her records states she is.

To have a gun ban, the 2nd Amendment would have to be repealed. It takes extraordinary events to enact or repeal a constitutional amendment. In today’s climate, there is a zero percent chance of that happening.

This entire argument is just consistent pedaling of unsubstantiated fear-porn by MAGA, which is their only platform in this election, well other than the concept of a really great plan to be announced in the near future.

Harris provides a quote supporting gun ownership. Many of us own a gun and wouldn’t support gun confiscation. so maga come up with hypotheticals, and start the debate from there. Btw, this gun confiscation is a recent trump claim is where I expect this started.

Her quotes mean nothing. She also is quoted recently as supporting more wall at our southern border after saying these gems in years past:

The wall is a “medieval vanity project” and “un-American”. She also posted in 2020 that “Trump’s border wall is a complete waste of taxpayer money and won’t make us any safer.”

That's why we don't believe her, buddy.
