What do "mandatory gun buyback programs" mean to you?

    Democratic Party Platform:

2012: We recognize that the individual right to bear arms is an important part of the American tradition, and we will preserve Americans' Second Amendment right to own and use firearms.
2008: We recognize that the right to bear arms is an important part of the American tradition, and we will preserve Americans' Second Amendment right to own and use firearms.
2004: We will protect Americans’ Second Amendment right to own firearms…

It was removed in 2016 and hasn't been seen since. Why do you think that is?

Don't know. But that doesn't mean they'll confiscate guns. Some of you guys have been saying that for every president. Obama is taking your guns! Biden is taking your guns! Didn't happen, of course.
So have you moved on to Harris is taking your guns! Even though she's never said anything about taking them?

It means they know they can't go door to door to confiscate, so they'll think of other ways to complete disarm the populace and to make the Second Amendment essentially worthless.

If you had the capacity to be intellectually honest, you would admit that with a healthy majority in both houses of Congress, the presidency and a majority on the SCOTUS, they would 100% move to ban gun ownership. That issue is to Dems what abortion is to the GOP. Except the Dems wouldn't put it in states hands. They would do the national ban.

Exactly. The Democrats would ban gun ownership and do a national confiscation program in a second if they had the votes in Congress and a favorable SCOTUS to uphold the illegal law.

Exactly. If only I were honest, I'd admit that the Democrats would do something they've never come close to trying to do?
    Seriously, the need for insults?

Never come close because they don't have the ability to. They would institute a National Gun ban, confiscate all guns and either kill or imprison those who didn't willfully give up their guns immediately if they could. The Democrats want an unarmed population. An unarmed populated is a controlled and subjugated population.

Dems don't have the pieces in place to "try to do it" at the national level or they would have. All you have to do is look at what they've done with gun laws at the local level in blue cities to know what they'd do if they had the solid majorities at the national level. And again, if you had the capacity to be intellectually honest, you'd admit the reason the Dems removed support of the 2nd Amendment from their party platform is because they believe it should be abolished. Why else wouldn't you leave it in there to reassure independent voters, if for nothing else? But I'm asking you to be intellectually honest and well, you're not good at that, so this will go no where.

It’s a shame that this passes for ‘conservative’ discussion these days.

Sorry that Trump actually stands up to people like you and doesn't bow down like RINO's McCain and Romney who were too scared to really stand up for Conservatism. Sorry that Trump is unapologetic for his views while RINO's like McCain and Romney were always too scared of "losing the moderates".

Sorry that Trump does cower in a corner like RINO's in the past did when someone said something bad about them. Your side became used to always being able to control the narrative and always dealing with Republicans who were afraid of their own shadow. Your side became used to Republicans who could be destroyed just by one bad story (whether it was true or not). You're still not used to Republicans like Trump who will stand up to you and rough you up just as much as you rough them up.

Sorry that our side doesn't cower in a corner anymore. That we stand up for what we believe in and know what this country means and should be going forward.

You only liked "Conservatives" that your side could utterly control. Those Conservatives were nothing more than controlled opposition. Now you have actual opposition.

To add, here's San Francisco, CA, Kamala's stomping grounds:

    1. zero gun stores in the city - you cannot buy a gun there
    2. concealed carry permits are impossible to get if you bring your gun in from another jurisdiction
    3. you cannot open carry your legally purchased gun from another jurisdiction in San Francisco

So, you can't buy guns there, you can't carry open or concealed. The only reason you can still possess a gun at your home is because that's an easy SCOTUS referral. Anyone who's intellectually honest has to admit, they don't want citizens having guns - period. It isn't speculation. You can clearly see what Kamala's own city has done with gun rights and legislation.

Such claims should be supported, otherwise it appears you are just BS'n. I've stated that I would be ok with an all-out guns ban and I'm just about the only one to go that far. "Several?" I call BS. Another bias check: Who's "cheering"?

    That sounds super scary.

Too bad they haven't published their platform so we can't see their plans for banning guns.

That people will be required to sell their guns to the government.

Who is proposing mandatory buyback programs on all guns?

Good thing the Democrats haven't spent any time in power in the last 20 years. They surely would have taken all the guns by now if they were.
