I’d also think it would be bad for any imports that arrived yesterday… not sure if the cancellation is retroactive or if that importer is stuck with 25% higher costs on those goods.

Does anyone get the sense that Trump is somewhere in White House right now yelling "Why didn't someone tell me tariffs hurt Americans??? I've been saying China and Mexico will pay for these!!!"

 

I am starting to think the Democrats plan of standing by and watching MAGA blow up is the right plan.

It seems strange that the president didn’t realize the impact of his policies before imposing them. Or that the CEOs of the Big Three auto giants would have to get on the phone to explain he was imperiling an iconic American industry. Perhaps the president’s love for “beautiful” tariffs blinded him from their consequences. Or, is the theatrical thrill of wielding power reserved for the president so seductive that this was meant to be nothing more than a stunt all along?

They want this so they can charge more and not have competition… duh… is that what you want?

 

Caving on Canada and Mexico tariffs was so yesterday ... Trump says he could bring them back as soon as tomorrow.

This is the kind of stable leadership the World needs. I'm starting to think dems are right to just sit back and watch.

After seeing this being played out for a few weeks now. It is clear Donald does NOT know how to implement tariffs to help or promote America industries. He is trying to use them as strong arm negotiation tactic, he is actually much dumber than I imagined.

He is single handling destroying relationships with our largest trade partner, which will take years to repair. This is after he "ripped" up his previous trade agreement. I can't understand how folks blindly support this clown.
