Happy Purim

what is Purim?

Purim is a major Jewish holiday which remembers the Jews avoiding being killed in Persia, as the King married a Jewish woman and chose to spare them, over plan of his right hand man

Often celebrated with costumes and triangle, hat shaped pastries called hamenstachen, but not a "Jewish Halloween"

 

Also moved to answer bill's question.

I can understand the prohibition of political discourse in the pub and I guess a “no religious threads” rule is safe policy but ….. I thought all of the people in the pub were cool and wouldn’t get bent over a simple “happy religious holiday” comment. I’m really disappointed there are such sensitive folks hanging in the pub.

Yeah this feels like a massive overreaction, I have never seen a merry Christmas or happy Easter message moved. Guess it’s something to look for in a few weeks.

My guess is no one would respond to a Merry Christmas OP with "What is Christmas"

Same, can't imagine a Happy Easter message with what is Easter?

 

Our HC doesn't match the UF brand or care and is 19-19 making 7 mil a year. That's why. Though mods try to keep name calling down there too
