What you fail to realize is Hamas is just as bad as Nazi Germany. We didn't see the allies offering the axis a 72 hour cease fire to come to terms for withdrawing the Jews from Europe. No problem, just 6 million Jews were exterminated which is the same goal as Hamas.

Trump ended ISIS in short order which Israel would do to Hamas in Rafah if the US had given the Israel arms that congress approved and that would get the job done sooner.

Hostages? As good as dead with the democrats in charge.

ISIS is still around, and a threat in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Speaking of Afghanistan, the Taliban is fully in control of the country, no thanks to Trump, who negotiated the US withdraw directly with them. If you think these groups pose zero threat, you're falling into their trap and are sadly mistaken.

Hamas is not like Nazi Germany. Hamas isn't a country. Hamas is a terrorist organization. They, like the PLO before them, recruit members that hide among the civilian population waiting to strike. There is no formal military andno formal declaration of war.

And again, Israel has been fighting the same battle for 60 years. No outright victory yet. What makes you think this time will be different?

Israel is well capable of defending herself. And both Biden and Harris support her defense. It's Netanyahu's war hawking belief that this time, the war is winnable that's prolonging the war. And if the war isn't winnable, what's the reason to keep up the hostilities? None. It will only result in more civilian deaths on both sides, including the hostages.

You are full if bullcrap when you say Jews in America need to support Trump to support Israel. Especially us Jews who don't support Netanyahu's continued war that will accomplish nothing. A position that the majority of Israelis now hold too.

An op-ed from the Times of Israel. Sent to me by family.

Netanyahu’s repeatedly stated determination to continue the war, with his insistence on “total victory” — ever more hollow as more and more hostages die — and no strategic endgame, is incredibly problematic for Israel in innumerable fundamental respects.

Yet after all this time, tens of thousands of Israelis are still displaced from their homes near the northern border. Hezbollah is intact and relentlessly attacking. Its rocket and missile capacities are barely dented. Its losses are merely in the hundreds. It contemplated firing precision missiles at sensitive targets in central Israel last month, to “avenge” Israel’s killing of Fuad Shukr, the Hezbollah commander under whose guidance a missile killed 12 Israeli children on a soccer field in July.

Meanwhile, West Bank terrorism is escalating steadily. Degraded in Gaza, Hamas is determinedly encouraging a strategic return to the suicide bombings in and from the West Bank of the Second Intifada.
"Idiotic" Israelis are tired of endless war with no end game. They are tired of having family members away from home, and tired from worrying about the welfare of the hostages. Hostages, that according to the v article, could have been home already, including those who just died, under a deal negotiated months ago. But one Netanyahu rejected and changed.

And here we have that far right rag Axios saying what anyone with a brain has known for almost a year: The terrorists don't want a cease fire, and shockingly the terrorists don't keep their word...

    https://www.axios.com/2024/09/05/gaza-israel-us-hostages-ceasefire-deal-prisoners

One of the main questions raised during a meeting President Biden and Vice President Harris had with their national security team on Monday was whether there is a hostage-release and ceasefire in Gaza deal Hamas would ever agree to, U.S. officials said.

I don't need agreement. I would like spirited debate. I'm not getting either.

Both sides have changed positions and added demands for a ceasefire. Hsmas wants more prisoners released. Netanyahu wants IDF control if the Philadelhi area. But yet, the "non-idiots" only blame Hamas? By the way, from my understanding, Netanyahu's additional demand came first, and Hamas demanding more prisoners to be released was in response.

And Hamas will deal. Just like the PLO before them. And yes, it will Hamas time to rebuild and reload. But that's going to happen anyway because a complete military victory just isn't possible. And the Israeli people are tired of fighting a war with no end game.

Because it is your same ole spiel over and over again. How many times and in how many ways do I have to tell you I don't trust your judgement on anything Israel. You are a perfect democrat, state a lie often enough and maybe some will believe me.

Why don't you answer the central question I've been asking? Instead, you avoid, demean, and attack me. That question again?

If Israel has been unable to achieve a military victory over Palestinian terror groups over the last 60 years, what's changed to make this type of victory possible today?

I just spent the past week working very closely with two Israelies (each from different places and perspectives) (we were in trial snd so we spent too much time together). During our time we obviously spoke about the Hamas War.

First, I brought up the strike last week, as well as the news articles you’ve posted. They each explained—again, they have different perspectives—that the strike was organized by Israel’s Labor Party, which is hyper-liberal. They both EMPHASIZED that they vast majority of Israelis are NOT seeking a cease fire without resolving the Hamas problem. For example, while they certainly want peace, they believe Hamas does not and will not let them live in peace. They gave multiple examples of why.

For example, something I didn’t know, in 2005 when Israel left Gaza to Gazan control, Israel left the businesses fully intact, with all infrastructure. Quite literally, the businesses were left to Gazans—with the same Gazan employees and same Gazan customers—to operate. One such type of VERY LUCRATIVE and prosperous businesses were hydroponic farms. These farms, which cost millions to construct and operate, sold Kosher produce all over the World. Gazan-made Kosher produce was “the” go-to supplier.

After Israel left Gazan to the Gazans in 2005, rather than step into and operate these businesses, the Gazans burned them to the core—from the thriving multi-million dollar farms to the formerly locally owned businesses. Why? Because they were Israeli made. (They also shared that Israel knew this would happen,so they also dig out all the Jewish cemeteries and moved them to Israel before handing Gaza to the Gazans.

In short, and I could go on, t least according to these two clients ( well, one a co-counsel and the other the client), the majority of Israel stands behind Netanyahu, understands that while Israel agreed to terms of a cease fire that was actually negotiated, it was Hamas who refused the terms. They do it want Israel to back off now, because they know now—as they did on October 7 ( and really, before)—unless Hamas is defeated they will return to continue to exact terror against Israel, no matter what Israel does.

Understand, I am not saying you are wrong, I am saying that I have heard a different perspective from two different Israelis.

Never again is now and has been since October 7. That you don't get it is no surprise as this is your same spiel over and over again. You don't support Israel. Victory is possible even with the resulting high cost in human life. War is hell.

There is no turning back. Hamas will not be tolerated in any form and that includes the people who support Hamas, the PLO by extension.

The Palestinian people will suffer greatly until they come to grips with their failed demands of river to the sea as well as a two-state solution which they rejected anyway.

On Tuesday, Netanyahu said Israel will not give up the Philadelphi corridor. On Wednesday, Biden stated Israel will give up the corridor for a hostage deal.

I know you believe lying Biden. Netanyahu didn't shoot down anything. Biden never had the right to say what Israel will do in prosecuting Israel's war with Hamas to try to get the hostages back.

Hamas is emboldened and it is because of the Biden Administration's anti-Israel and antisemitic actions. Biden's weakness in supporting Israel will lead to the deaths of all hostages. The blood of the hostages is on the hands of Hamas and the Biden Administration.

A few things. First, Israel just paved the Philadelphi Corridor, showing it has no intention of allowing that buffer to fall under the wrong hands again.

Biden is not lying, and neither is Netanyahu.

For some reason some people don't understand that the terrorists don't want peace and won't negotiate. So unfortunately Israel will have to keep doing what they are doing. Would help if the rest of the world starting putting pressure on anyone supporting the terrorists but we know that won't happen.

The world has consistently bought the propaganda coming from the PLO, who learned it literally directly from the Nazis, who were on their employ.

The question still hasn't been answered. If Israel and the IDF, arguably the most efficient military ever known to mankind, hasn't been able to defeat terrorists in the better part of 60 years, why can achieve said victory today?

The removal of Hamas one way or another is a goal I think every Israeli would agree with. That's not the issue, and before the recent hostage deaths, I think more than half of Israelis supported the continued war. But more and more Israelis are waking up and realizing a military defeat of Hamas just isn't possible. After all, Hamas has a 90%+ approval rating from Palestinian citizens; citizens that Hamas recruits from and hides within. And again, 60 years of fighting and no victory yet.

This understanding that a military victory over Hamas isn't feasible has Israelis asking a variation on the same theme. What does Israel have to gain with continued hostilities with Hamas today? Many IDF reservists have been on duty for over 200 days, including many former retired soldiers who were recalled. And the hostages? They aren't going home as long as the hostilities continue. So when Israelis ask what do they have to gain if they negotiate? They get their hostages and reservist families back home with them.

If a military victory over Hamas was possible, I'd be arguing Israel shouldn't leave the fight until its over. But all history and data, including Israel's own history says this isn't possible. So what's the point in continued fighting?

Clinton had a deal worked out with Israel and the PLO for a 2 state solution and Arafat walked away from the deal. It is the terrorist groups that are preventing peace in the region, not the Israelis.

Arafat didn't walk away from the deal. After years of fighting and gaining nothing, Arafat realized the futility of it all, and wanted something better for his grandkids. To paraphrase Golda Meir, Arafat finally loved his own more than he hated Israelis.

The problem was, for the majority of Palestinians, they still hated the Israelis more. And still do. So instead of accepting the Clinton peace accord, they launched the second infidata. This also saw the end of the PLO and rise of Hamas, who are in essence, the PLO 2.0, but with a different name.

And so, for both sides, it's wash, rinse, repeat. Israel and the Palestinians are fighting the same battle now for a 3rd generation, with neither side actually gaining anything. So why fight? Because for the Palestinians, they still hate more then they love. And for Israel, it's about defense and survival. But again, neither side is going to win a military victory.

So why not accept a temporary ceasefire? At least the hostages get to go home, and there is an end, however temporary, to the fighting.

Clinton made a second attempt at this right before he left office. Again Arafat would not agree to the deal which included a Palestinian state.
