    Scoreboard:
    Trump 1
    Biden 0

It’s interesting. Biden sends bombs and negotiators. Trumps sends a RE developer. Now all those Palestinians who voted for Trump look like they knew something.

take the below for what it’s worth…

“Witkoff, a friend of Trump’s—he was playing a round of golf with him during an assassination attempt in September—was new to diplomacy. But his push was well-timed, with both sides more inclined to a deal, and Trump having warned there would be “ALL HELL TO PAY” if there wasn’t one. That warning was meant for both sides, the person said. “The president has been a great friend of Israel,” Witkoff told the prime minister, the person said, “and now it’s time to be a friend back.”

Immediately after the meeting, Netanyahu sent a key aide and the heads of Israel’s spy agencies to Doha for an intense week of negotiations that brought a deal which had been moribund just weeks earlier back into play.

Intensive talks led by senior Biden administration officials had repeatedly failed to end the violence. But even though the terms of the agreement on the table had changed little in eight months, this time was different, as a disparate set of events had primed the parties for the right push.”

But Trump is also old and senile, and only thinks about stealing things, adultery, and committing sexual assault.

Just so you're on record, this ceasefire is a good thing that we give Trump credit for?

I mean it to say that Joe himself was probably not involved in any way-

and yes it is a good thing that we are getting a cease fire

and yes even the Biden admin's people who were involved are saying without Trump's involvement the cease fire does not happen

Does it count as a win if it is a terrible deal?

Define terrible deal? IMO, Trump “wins” this because he looks good. Heck, Biden camp is saying Trump got both parties to negotiate. We all know Bibi folded because he was afraid Trump would put him on blast on Truth and X to the Israeli people. No one in the MAGA camp is going to retrospectively grade the post ceasefire results.

Israel always gives up way too much and it aways comes back to bite them in the ass, but at this moment it was probably the best they were going to get

Let's say that Hamas reverts to the mean the moment they sense the Trump Admin will blame Bibi if the deal falls through and they start breaking the terms of the deal. Bibi does not put up with that and the deals falls apart and fighting continues and now its Trump's problem. Is it still a win then?

    You can “if” anything.

If what you says come true I think it’s a win for Israel as I think Trump will release the dog on Hamas. That will be bad for the people of Gaza.

There is nothing that Trump could do to "release the dog on Hamas" that Israel has not done. It is not like he can send JSOC and 18th Airborne Corps into Gaza. The only thing he can really do is arm Israel and then go after Iran to the point the cry uncle and tell Hamas hand over the hostages to make the pain stop.

Eye of the beholder. Trump wins because the hostages are back. Israeli people are gratified. That gives Bibi asks Trump lots of post agreement goodwill to then push hard on Hamas, Iran, and Qatar. Trump is a pacifist. He doesn’t want war. He doesn’t care what peace looks like as long as he gets to build resorts on the West Bank.

edit: Trump isn’t wrong. A West Bank that has hospitality industry = jobs for Palestinians and an economy.

My point is the timeline for the hostages turnover is so long, the deal is likely to break down before all the hostages are back.

I see. Fair point. Hostage return is Trump’s photo op. It’s in his DNA to get it done.

And I think the American hostages are not in the first round of hostages to be exchanged.
