Hallgator Pick 'em: Gators vs. ECU Pirates (MBB)

Oofta . . . the sound I made after lotta Gator shots tonight. Same applies to a bunch of these picks . . . mine included. This one was pretty good, though.

lifetime gets a .5 bonus for hitting the ECU score. SoG was + 19. If it were not for rebounding, we would have been embarrassed by the Pie-rats. I seem to recall, though, that rebounding was one of the explicit priorities for CTG when he arrived.

 

In the last game, the Gators' advantage at the FT line was big. In this game, rebounding was the difference. IOW - SoG (+19 for the second consecutive game) matters. And like the game against Richmond, this was an important win against a pesky team.

MVG for this one may be surprising. Clayton Jr. dominated the game in the first half, but was contained in the second and had zero assists to five turnovers ( ). Samuel helped finish the game and was solid in spots, but had three turnovers. Who did that leave? Will Richard, who was solid all around, had 10pts, 7rbs, 4assts, 2 stls, and 3 blcks. Richard also didn't miss any FTs and had zero turnovers.
