Could we get a half of point for picking the winner of the game each week, as this is concrete reality. FYI

I'm not compelled to change the rules into the season ntm that this really isn't that kind of pick 'em. It's high reward for precision picking.

What Riley Kugel can do at the defensive end doesn't always show up easily in the box score. In football the best pass defenders are not the guys with a lot of interceptions. It is the guys where the man they cover almost never gets a ball thrown their way.

It would be a deep dive into the box score to figure something like that out but you know that pro and college teams keep track of such analytics.

But keep your MVG the way it is because it is transparent.

We did look bad defending the 3 point shot. Watching the game I thought that we decided to let them shoot it as a coaching decision but in hindsight we are just slow at defensive rotations. We have yet to be "connected" on defense. I am hoping it will come in time.

Having our best rim protector out hurt us as we couldn't be as aggressive closing out but that was only a small part of the problem. We are not yet a cohesive unit on the defensive end. Playing man-to-man D is not just defending the guy in front of you.

Is there a formula for determining the MVG?

Yes, it's a Value Pt Scoring formula. I posted it in the previous pick 'em thread.
