Gymnasts Leaving, Staying, Transferring, & Recruits

Glad to see Trinity at least hasn't decided not to return for a 5th year.

I'm wondering if Nya has made her decision yet too.

At least we know Leah is coming back for another year on the balance beam.

I didn't know Lee has been working with Graba's brother since she was 6 years old. Going to Auburn was a natural extension of her career and education.

 

Trinity has one NIL contract. She likely wants more. I can't blame her. She has proven she is the best women gymnast in the nation. She deserves more.

Suni is returning for her sophomore season with Auburn.

Trinity can beat Suni again in 23 and then beat for a third time in the Paris Olympics. There is no doubt in my mind that Trinity is the best gymnast in the world.

 

It could be an insurance situation too. If she were to injure herself like she did in 21 and not recover in time for the 24 Paris Olympics, she'd lose a ton of marketing money. Get Trinity more $ and an insurance policy in case of injury. This goes for any of UF's gymnasts who have real competitive shots at the Paris Olympics. UF wants the best so they have to do right by these gymnasts.

UCLA hired their new HC yesterday, a former Asst. Coach at California. It'll be interesting to see if Norah stays or transfers

UGALY is NOT the place to be right now so I'm sure we'll see a side story on this later.

Kayla DiCello and Lori Brubach have already signed with UF.

Left on the 22/23 commitment board are Shilese Jones who seems to have been committed forever and Sophia Butler, both 5 star gymnasts:

Sophia Butler is scheduled to graduate HS in 22. It's a mixed bag as one site shows her committed and another does not. I tend to think she is no longer committed as USA Gymnastics shows her as undecided:

Dr. Sam has several times mentioned that Shilese Jones is UF bound for 22/23. However, every day that Jones goes unsigned and unannounced makes me think she is not coming to UF. She could have easily signed when Kayla DiCello signed with UF but didn't.

I've seen posts elsewhere where it has been speculated that both Nya and Savannah have decided to leave while Trinity is still undecided. Don't shoot the messenger, just reporting what is being said out in the gymnastics universe.
