LSU came down to earth a little bit.. at home too. 9.875, 9.825, 9.8 (dropped), 9.9, 9.85, 9.8. 49.250 Bars. OU: Average for them 49.425 vault.
That's another puzzle. I have to bedlieve she and Skye are recovering from illness and coach decided to bring them back slowly. Just a guess.
lol, I was being ironic, across four events it’s a 198.8. It’s insanely good. This team is so frustrating because it’s all there, they just can’t seem to put it together on the same night. Without having to count the fall tonight they are on pace for about a 198.2. Youth, new faces etc. Maybe it will come together later. But they could win the national title or not make it out of regionals, and neither would shock me.
1000% I remember younger Sloane was good/great a lot, but once she had a goof in a meet, she was just done. The rest of the meet was a mess. She has grown and matured a ton.
The Gators are going to kill it on the floor and walk away with this match. Other than 2 misses on the bars, they've been very good tonight.
I don't like the vault scores either. May be hard getting past better teams counting 2 9.825's on one apparatus.
Even before the illness (which is now several weeks ago supposedly), we had falls and in some cases multiple falls in every meet. Just finally caught up with us the last few weeks. I’m certainly not giving up on the season, this group just appears to be more inconsistent than we usually are. Still five more meets to figure some stuff out, hopefully that beam rotation gets them some confidence and is a springboard for the second half of the year and post season. It was a really great response after last week and then bars tonight.
