    I will say I think CJR would take Shilese if she wanted to come. I really don't think she wants to go to college.

    Besides her age, I'd be concerned that she lacks the attitude to become a good team player. Gymnastics is all about her. It can't be that way in team gymnastics.

    That makes total sense. I didn't know if now that her Olympic chance is likely passed if she would revisit

    Amazing, 3 of the top 5 coming into the USA trials are now missing the Olympics due to injuries.

    Suni Lee looks horrible. Will be on the team based on what happened in Tokyo, not for what she has been lately. Same for Jade Carey. Both will make it because Blakely and DiCello got hurt. Wong probably won't make it since the USA committee will want to take a teenager.

    Is it me or is the Olympic scoring skewed too much towards difficulty? A really hard thing to do but yields a fall is better than perfectly executing a moderately difficult thing. Falls, step outs, bobbles, and whatnot by the top spots and they are still in the top spot? I get rewarding difficulty to a point, but keep your butt on the beam or you lose.

    I’m heartbroken for Kayla, sit out a year at UF to pursue your Olympic dream and then your acl goes out. Life doesn’t seem fair far too often imo.

    Leanne is a traveling alternate, will only perform if needed. Saw this posted through the DR. Sam site:

    @jessicafsu

    Leanne Wong simultaneously: - Wrote and released a book - has multiple brand deals - designed leos - runs a business - FULL TIME (pre-med) STUDENT - competed weekly in ncaa - trained for the Olympics I did exactly one of those in college.

    Shilese Jones should have signed with UF, diminished $ pro appeal.

    Think UF leads for Helzey Rivera based on fist bump with CJR and closeness with Leanne. LSU fan thinks UF is on top of her recruiting. She is on the Paris Olympic Team top 5 at 16. Helzey is a shooting star. Glad Leanne will be there to help her through the Olympics.

    THIS! I love Simone. She's the absolute GOAT and in a class by herself. However, I don't care if she flips 8 times on a vault, she needs to control the landing. I know college gymnastics is watered down and the judging is inconsistent (or consistently poor), but at least it concentrates on clean routines. My wife and I were very frustrated in the scoring this weekend.

    Make that X2 for both Kayla DiCello and Skye Blakely. Both will highly likely miss all of the 2025 UF season. Achilles tendon tears are recoverable at 100%, but it takes 10 to 12 months to get back into performance shape.
