Another fair assessment of Napier and his 2024 football team. He likes the personnel we have, and that's something that no one is really talking about. All people see is our schedule and logos... We'll see how the Gators do this coming season, but it will not be anywhere near as low as 4.5 wins. McElroy is on to something that only a few of us have been talking about. The talent is there in Gainesville. Speaking about the Gators after SEC Media Days, ESPN’s Greg McElroy found himself agreeing with some comments from Napier at the event about the Florida roster being in a spot to compete. And just because oddsmakers and many are down on the Gators doesn’t mean McElroy is so glum. McElroy used the Gators’ over/under win total from one Las Vegas oddsmaker of 4.5 games to argue his point. If someone asked him if Florida is more likely to win four games or win seven games in 2024, McElroy would pick the latter. And he thinks the Gators will do well to outperform the expectations most have of them this season. Greg McElroy wants to focus on Florida roster, not schedule
Rick, off topic, but I appreciate posters such as yourself offering positivity toward the program, especially in the lead up to the season. Young men and even the staff need positive reinforcement. They are human, irregardless, of NIL money, or salaries. I don't see the point of accentuating negativity this time of year, especially with a united locker room and players behaving themselves honorably.
