Southern Greenland has some months with decent weather temps... but still not my kind of place. The one place that I would see is Iceland. Did you see the movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty?

The scene in Iceland with the soundtrack was so mesmerizing... I would love to visit that one spot where Spiller (main character in said movie) skateboarded... down that cool winding road. Again that soundtrack with the scenery was awesome.

I wonder if Southern Greenland gets like that devoid of snow.

I know the 4 time former president of Iceland ORG. He told me I was the greatest female geopolitical thinker on planet earth. So much for Twitter relationships. I guess the question is, am I a man or a woman? How many X chromosomes do I have?

It's quite possible that no one here could come up with the right answer if they had 1 guess and their life depended on getting the right answer. I don't know myself.

maybe thread title needs to be amended because the greenland PM wants nothing to do with trump and maga

Greenland’s prime minister slams Usha Vance with brutal verdict

Adding fuel to the fire, Second Lady Usha Vance and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz is set to visit Greenland this week in one of the most high-profile trips to the island since Trump’s infamous push to acquire it.

The White House maintains that Usha Vance’s visit is focused on celebrating Greenlandic culture. According to the White House, “The second lady will travel to Greenland with her son and a United States delegation to visit historical sites, learn about Greenlandic heritage, and attend the Avannaata Qimussersu, Greenland’s national dogsled race.”
    ..........................
Prime Minister Mute B. Egede slammed the trip as “highly aggressive” in an interview with Greenlandic newspaper Sermitsiaq on Sunday, taking particular issue with Waltz’s presence. “What is the national security adviser doing in Greenland? The only purpose is to demonstrate power over us,” Egede warned.

But he didn’t stop there — Egede fears the visit will embolden Washington’s ambitions over the Arctic territory. “His mere presence in Greenland will no doubt fuel American belief in Trump’s mission — and the pressure will increase.”

    More on the Greenland Follies:

President Donald Trump said Vice President JD Vance and an American delegation are visiting Greenland on Friday “to let them know that we need Greenland for international safety and security.”
“We need it. We have to have it,” he said.
Asked later by radio host Vince Coglianese whether he thought Greenlanders were eager to become U.S. citizens, Trump said: “I don’t know. I don’t think they’re uneager. But I think that we have to do it. And we have to convince them, and we have to have that land.”

Personally, I don't think the brilliant oration of Thomas Jefferson could convince the Greenlanders to join us at this particular moment in time, if ever. Trump "doesn't know," if they're eager to become citizens (what, he can't read polls, or understand briefings on the subject?) but doubts they are "uneager (which isn't a word, according to spellcheck.)

Why does he persist in tilting at this particular windmill? Why can't he be content with establishing and maintaining good relations and economic ties with Greenland, like a rational human being?
Oh, wait, I answered my own question.

"Rational human being" and "Donald Trump" are mutually exclusive terms.
