If Miller looks good, pay other holes in our squad, we aren’t winning it all next year anyway and we look fine at qb for the future.
Funny how everyone was so excited when Jack transferred to UF and now many are ready to push him out the door. His only issue was an injury requiring surgery.
I never remember being that excited... but now that Miller is a Gator I will be rooting for him to succeed. Having said that, if the best QB in the Transfer Portal wants to come to Gainesville we'd be dumb not to sign him for one year. McCall IS THAT MUCH BETTER. More is better in this case and competition especially at the QB position is good. We can either just try and do with what we have, or we can go into recruiting overdrive in this "talent acquisition business," with the goal of winning it all. Or? Being in the personality holding model is not a good way to run a successful business.
His only issue? He was 3rd-4th on depth chart at OHio State, he was average during his spring game at UF, and that injury took 3x the estimated amount to heal. I hope he throws for 500 yards today. But no one has any idea if he is going to be a great qb. And even if he has an mvp performance in the bowl game, having 1 great game doesn’t mean we shouldn’t pursue the best or better options if available in the portal. We cannot go into a season with 3 scholarships qbs- a project in Brown, a true freshman, and Miller. We need a transfer qb regardless.
I think it was Platt and Jones. Plus you really want Pratt, but he's not even in the portal as of yet. I still hope we land the Tight End, Platt.
Platt trending UF, but he visits A&M. Got it, you meant Platt. Pratt is ours after the Cotton Bowl game.
