    1a. McCall
    1b. Leary
    Close 3. Pratt

Honestly I would be excited about landing any of these 3. They would start here day one

Have to give a guy a chance. Who has he “lost” those QB battles with. AR and Stroud. Both are likely to be 1st round talent. Remember unless you’re on the staff they are seeing him day in and day out. We (fans) have seen maybe 15 minutes of him on the field.

Warming to Leary. Seems to have the strongest arm of the three and can make all the throws.

Having an early bowl game will be to our advantage as we will be able to hit this portal thing 100 soon here.

Waiting would be too late, and I suspect Billy was on him quicker than me. I totally lucked out, as I saw the story one minute after it was posted.

    Let me help ya'll out.
Over the last three seasons, McCall has thrown for nearly 8,000 yards and 77 touchdowns, all while throwing just eight interceptions. He isn’t much of a runner, but he can still scramble when he needs to as he has 16 rushing touchdowns in his career.

LET THIS SINK IN: Grayson McCall has thrown eight interceptions out of 780 passes in his college career.

He's done nothing , period. But so what? Anyone we bring in still has to compete. No one we bring in has done a damn thing here or in the SEC. We don't know how Jack will do after actually getting reps in the Spring and the Summer. And you can't judge him by what he does in the bowl game unless we find out he can't throw a ball 40 yards in the air. I say that bc most will judge him then. And , by the same token, if he throws for 350 yards and 3 TD's , I wouldn't pencil him in as next year's Heisman Trophy candidate either and start freaking out about whether Rashada or Lagway will get scared off.
Whoever we bring in, if anyone, is insurance and depth and competition. May the best man win and I don't think that will be decided before the end of December.

Bring in whomever necessary to win football games. A little competition doesn't hurt anyone

Did you stop reading halfway through? "...that would indicate he'd have the inside track". I'm literally talking about having an open competition for the job.

I apologize. I probably fixated on the "nothing" part. It's a competition. It's great to finally have some good options.

Seems like AR took 3 games to throw 8 INTs....Felipe probably did it in 2 games.

I’ve heard that, but it’s not evident from the video I’ve seen. But the knocks I’ve seen on McCall and Hartman are lack of arm strength and erratic.

Who would you peg as the best all-around fit for this offense from the top portal guys that are currently available?

No honest coach will guarantee that.
