And what is your rationale for not counting them.

He does seem to "oscillate" with his views on that subject. But I think he sees the Left going too far Left even for his taste.

We know... We spent months debating that here in Too Hot, once upon a time. I still think that the House members should only be taken from citizens of the United States of America. That is one good reason why the citizen question should be added and not added in some convoluted, ambiguous way, like in the past.

    Our Censuses.
    Decennial Census
Also known as the Population and Housing Census, the Decennial U.S. Census is designed to count every resident in the United States. It is mandated by Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution and takes place every 10 years. The data collected by the decennial census determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and is also used to distribute hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funds to local communities.

The census tells us who we are and where we are going as a nation, and helps our communities determine where to build everything from schools to supermarkets, and from homes to hospitals. It helps the government decide how to distribute funds and assistance to states and localities. It is also used to draw the lines of legislative districts and reapportion the seats each State holds in Congress.

I don’t think illegals should be counted.

    Once processed they should count.

Curious why you are trying to put words in my mouth? My post has zero to do with any immigrants. It’s only about Elon being from SA and then Canada. Not becoming a US citizen until an adult. That maybe his upbringing in those countries has shaped his opinion as to politics and science. No more, no less.

yes, some states get more than they deserve. Nevada leads the way with 7.1% of their population undocumented, followed by Texas and California. Red and blue states getting more representation but a proportional share of funding per person.
