I think presidents - via their Supreme Court nominations - ultimately have much greater influence on issues such as abortion (and same sex marriage as another example) than the President has on inflation and gas prices - which are also international problems. But yeah, it seems pretty tone deaf and out of touch for rich people to minimize voters' legitimate concerns about pocket book issues, particularly in this market.

It all depends on which Political Party's policies you like, and right now the Dems and their policies are driving our country into a ditch. Even as I type this many European countries are rethinking fossil fuels and the definition of renewable energy. Meanwhile Biden is doing his level best to starve us from energy... domestic energy no less. That is just one major mistake this man is making policy wise. And people are taking note on their choice of candidates this election cycle.
