So I guess the logical reasoning is consistent. If you aren’t arresting wanted terrorists. Boom, no terrorists.

It’s funny in a way. But like other authoritarian and commie regimes, these Trumpers have shown proclivity for just flat out making nonsense up. So it’s also serious. 2025 would no doubt politicize govt data (among other things).

 

I think the point is you arrest terrorists on the terror watch list if they are in your country. They are here in our country because we have an open border.

Nope, the stat the guy is referring to is apprehensions between points of entry. That means people not presenting for asylum at normal ports of entry, and instead attempting to sneak through more open terrain. This means border control apprehending them.

The border patrol publishes a bunch of stats online that you can check for yourself.

Obviously a terrorist isn’t going to “present themselves” to either the Trump admin or the Biden admin.

Now it could mean many more people attempting that crossing. A stat like that you maybe need to know what % you are catching, but just saying “these guys are arresting way more wanted criminals along the border than we did” is generally going to sound crazy if the argument is “open borders” and leaving the nation open to known criminals.

The Trump speech started very strong, and he is certainly coming across as less offensive, but this is waaaaaaaay too long of a speech for having started as late as it did.

 

He’s flexing over Biden being up this late to do his job.
