It's just a criminal organization doing the bidding of a criminal. But using our tax dollars to fund it.

Beyond obvious, but the message is; prosecute Trump's un-American crimes and he will use the power of the government to attack you. There couldn't be many things more un-American than this.

We've reached a new low point in our national history. Many, many people should be ashamed.

Wrapping up their own investigation on the January 6, 2021 US Capitol attack, House Republicans have concluded GOP former Rep. Liz Cheney should be prosecuted for probing what happened when then-President Donald Trump sent his mob of supporters as Congress was certifying the 2020 election.

The findings issued Tuesday show the Republican Party working to reinforce Trump’s desire to punish his perceived enemies, including Cheney and members of the January 6 committee that the president-elect has said should be in jail.

“Liz Cheney could be in a lot of trouble based on the evidence obtained by the subcommittee, which states that ‘numerous federal laws were likely broken by Liz Cheney, and these violations should be investigated by the FBI.’ Thank you to Congressman Barry Loudermilk on a job well done. Newsmax, by Greg Kelly,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

Trump suggested in a 3 a.m. ET social media post that Cheney could face legal consequences based on evidence gathered by the GOP subcommittee.

Curious as to what laws she broke. I get it that in maga world, crossing Trump is treason... but there aren't laws on the books for that YET.

Democratic leadership in the House and Senate is next. We”ll then the party leadership up on bunk charges.

Anyone in the press being critical will be slammed with bunk defamation cases or outright hit with criminal charges.

This game has played out before.

Very unAmerican. Chilling. New Rules: news organizations are not allowed to disagree with trump despite 1A, polls are to always show trump in a favorable light despite 1A, and members of Congress are not allowed to criticize trump - despite the speech and debate clause or the federal government led by the Constitutionally impaired trump will come after you. That about it?

    That's about it for now.

We watch it all happen. One small step at a time. But steadily.

Approximately half of us don't care.

    Good game, America.

She deserves her time in court, just like Trump spent time in court... She is NOT above the law. All will be explained in court.

the dem majority keeps getting slimmer. actions like this may tilt the balance

prior to this it was 219 to 213.

Johnson’s historically narrow House majority will shrink further after Democrats flip seat in New York | CNN Politics

With Suozzi’s swearing in Wednesday, Republicans now control 219 seats and Democrats control 213. At that margin, House Republicans will only be able to lose only two votes to pass legislation on party-line votes if all members are present and voting.

Record Slim House Majority Faces New Problems As GOP Lawmaker Announces Exit From Republican Conference - The Maine Wire

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson’s record slim majority could face greater division following a GOP lawmaker’s announcement that she will not be caucusing with House Republicans for the foreseeable future.

Republican Indiana Rep. Victoria Spartz, who won reelection in November after initially deciding to not seek a third term, announced her exit from the House Republican Caucus in a post on X on Monday evening, citing her discontent with House Republican leadership.

“I will stay as a registered Republican but will not sit on committees or participate in the caucus until I see that Republican leadership in Congress is governing,” Spartz wrote on X. “I do not need to be involved in circuses. I would rather spend more of my time helping @DOGE and @RepThomasMassie to save our Republic, as was mandated by the American people.”

I was initially against this, because optics, but I’ve come around. MAGA is going to attack, abuse, and destroy anyone opposed to their authoritarianism. The only defense the opposition has is playing the same, dirty game. Mainstream media is going to paint them negatively either way.

    Awful state of affairs.

The optics regarding pardons should change. The acceptance of a pardon is probably not an admission of guilt. My post from another thread:

They love the immunity granted by the scotus to their orange god for official acts. The same would apply to members of congress maga world is threatening to prosecute. Or is that only if you have an R after your name?

Yes, I’m fairly certain that Congress also has immunity for anything they present on the floor … so still waiting for someone tell me what the possible charges would be against Cheney and the committee, here, @Gatorrick22 and others…

I happen to think what Cheney did was a travesty - if they have actual proof of anything wrong then nail her ass if not then clear her
