And yet he has never been proven guilty.
Why do you choose to be ignorant?

The dissenters and their wives are getting threatening texts from the MAGA terrorists. Because of course they are.

I’m pulling for Jim. That’ll move swing districts over to the dems. The House Speaker tried to throw out the presidential vote in 20 districts that voted for Biden. That’ll go well.

I'm not sure whether you're referring to Strauss (the doctor) or to Jordan. As a point of information Strauss committed suicide aftr the former wrestlers that he fondled made their allegations. As far as I know alleged criminals aren't tried after they've died even assuming that he could even could have been tried had he lived since there was the real possibility that he could have escaped prosecution because the statute of limitations had run. As far as Jordan is concerned and adding that I'm not very knowledgeable on Ohio law especially during the period in which Jordan was an assistant coach, he probably didn't have an affirmative legal obligation to report the abuse and his failure to do so or to at least corroborate the allegations of the wrestlers whether not it was actually a violation of the law was definitely indicative of a moral failure on his part although not at all surprising.

I Don't Get It, Part Two. According to the vote tally on my TV screen during the vote for Speaker, the person who got the most votes after Jim Jordan was a Democrat. Do the rules allow for one party member to be Speaker when the other party controls the House? Or was it just the Democrats having fun by voting for one of their own instead of Jordan? Or, as a third possibility, do those people even know what the hell they're doing?

I talked to God last night and he told me the next Speaker is going to be Hakeem Jeffries. He also told me the only reason he created monkeys and apes was because he was disappointed in republicans.

That's who got the most votes after Jordan. So maybe God knows what he's talking about. But why, in all the discussion by the talking heads that I've heard, has Jeffries' name not even been mentioned, as if he had gotten no votes at all? Can you ask God about this?

There is a minimum number of votes in order to become speaker. Technically anyone can be voted in. There are not enough Dems to meet the minimum requirement. Only the right wingers have the numbers to meet the minimum. You won't see them cross party lines to vote for another candidate to become speaker

I don't even understand what there has to be a speaker for. They say that the house is paralyzed without one. You would think that someone elected to the U.S. House of Representatives has the ability to speak for his or her self.

Buchanan just voted for Donalds. He voted for Jordan yesterday. He has already lost 4 votes.

There are traditions and rules that come into play, but Article I, Section II of the U.S. Constitution sets forth that the House shall choose its Speaker.

Why doesn't the Constitution say that the Senate should have a Speaker too? The Senate has to struggle along with just majority and minority leaders

Jordan is out again but then maybe he really won and the Speakership was stolen from him. Apparently, Gym is doing worse today than he did yesterday. So far every Republican who voted against him yesterday did do so today and two Republicans who voted for him yesterday voted for other candidates today.

I think it has to do with the line of succession. If the President is unable to continue to serve, it goes to the VP, who is also the President of the Senate. Then it goes to the Speaker of the House.
