    Johnson is the second nominee of the day. He did much better on a conference vote (although a lot of absences). They may have actually found their person! We will see tomorrow.

    My new, unsupported conspiracy theory is that Gaetz is throwing wrenches into the gears to help Trump and that he hopes Trump will reward him with support to be the next Governor of Florida.

    The spin: this is what democracy looks like. The Dems just fall behind their chosen insider and are a dictatorship.

    The impact: a shut down of the government and a do nothing Congress for the next 2 years.

    The upshot: this is what a third party would do to a House leaving it unable to be nimble to deal with problems.

    the story: back room deals for power and a great book about what really happened.
