   i don’t have a problem with higher income paying more core Medicare. I have a big problem with making it eligibility means based.
   
   Having employees opt out of SS is a terrible idea on multiple levels, and it makes the SS deficit worse, because they contribute less now, and we don’t save anything on spending until far into the future.
   
   As to raising retirement age I agree but not by that much. There are ways to access 401ks and IRAs at 55.
