Typing as I listen… Disappointing … we had a 10 point lead and let them off the hook. We got excited and let it tighten up. After that, they had momentum and hit big threes. We needed to do a better job in the second half and didn’t do better job guarding threes. They bombed us out. They got a lot of threes in transition. Davis and Forrest were going back and forth. I think they combined for seven in the first half. Its a tough guard for our team … 4 guards … all solid and shoot well. They if they go 10 for 24 … we win. They didn’t. They went 13 for 24. The stops got us going in the second half and we were purposeful. That gave us that little run. Kyle was really solid. Played more then liked and he battled well defensively. It just felt like I needed him out there. Will was good on offense, but not great defensively. Struggled getting their thru action. But he is such a good player, I except him to bounce back and be better next game. Colin is playing within himself and how we are trying to play. He forced a couple late but that is ok…. We allow that. He had a dang good stat line. If we guarded the line better, we are celebrating now. kpwaoce showed a lot of heart and belief. Those were Big shots. It cut to where we could be within reach. I am Proud of him for stepping up in those moments.
Todd has an interesting demeanor. He will imply some frustrations or disappointments, but seems to work hard to compliment his guys and instill confidence. And any critique is immediately followed by his expectation for a bounce back next game. I’d love to see his practice demeanor, and hoping to get to a practice soon.
He didn’t shoulder blame, but it doesn’t see he is avoiding accountability. He just seems like a guy who tries to stay positive, talk about the game and instill confidence. If you didn’t know the score, you would listen to any given post game… and probably think we won.
Coaches often coach differently in pre-season on purpose. Giving the kids a chance to work through things they need work on before the SEC games start.
Are you implying he has double-stuffed Oreos where you take one of the two cookies off on two whole cookies, then put those together to make a quadruple- stuffed Oreo? I LOVE those! Does it work as a college basketball coach?
