    Typing as I listen….

i thought we played pretty well on the first half offensively, and then we tightened up and had some bad turnovers.. which made it hard to score. But I was pleased with the last 4 minutes… we executed really well, got good shots and got on the glass and defended and found a way to win.

We guarded really well and a big part of this was keeping them off the offensive glass… a to 40 offensive rebounding team. We limited their three point attempts, which was key and limited their second chances.. only 10 offensive rebounds and won the boards by 19. That’s been a calling card for this group.

walter got us off to a great start and was finding his way from the three point line and at the rim. Things settled down in the second half.

we played into turnovers by continuing to drive baseline and into the help… which is what they want. There are different things we could’ve done better, but I gotta credit them for their defensive ability. We gotta be a little bit strong with the ball, and have the ability to get back to the middle of the floor which would’ve broken down their defense a little more.

yeah… Lee asks softball questions, as I’m sure is expected for the team broadcast analyst. But this is a good question. And I’d have been interested to hear Golden comment on Kugel sitting during crunch time.

    Haugh can’t defend without fouling.
I completely agree on forcing the ball inside, but some of that was on the staff. The passes or drives were too deep for kick outs so they were stuck. Moving the center out a few feet and clearing the rest of the space would have helped that.

My guess is Haugh was under the weather. He's too solid for Golden not to play him more imo. It's the time of year with crap flying around.

Google was having a bad night. I think Golden recognize that. Maybe that will wake him up a bit

I'm feeling sorry for Kugel. He was looking miserable. He's lost confidence.

My Christmas wish for him is that he relax, accept humility, and allow Richard to be his role model. He has relaxed and gotten flow and is having fun out there by letting the game come to him.

Even my daughter, who just recently started watching BB games at FGCU, commented that Kugel looks like he doesn't give a shit or is sick, should be benched.

All evidence points to him not being able to adjust to his new hairstyle.

If Google doesn't straighten up, he will go straight to the bench and be replaced by the AI-ChatGPT! :)

Although this young up and comer, AI, could be another chatty-cathy!

we all enjoyed it, but wife and daughter gave me shit about enjoying the Dazzlers. Son enjoyed them too but was more subtle in his enjoyment

I think that the Dazzlers are fine but not my thing. When they do the Junior Dazzlers at halftime all I can think of is Little Miss Sunshine.

    That is what I say.

At least, that is what I say to my wife when she looks at my inquiring history.
