    Man, I do NOT miss Danielson. I got kind of used to ABC... and some of the ESPN people.

    We would take P-3 pilots out on fast boats so they could see our ops. We would mess with them severely. We would dress up in bright yellow anti contamination gear, wake them up with a flashlight in the eyes yelling, “Look, this one’s still alive!!” They would freak

    I was really young(8 when he retired in 87’) but I think late 70’s, early 80’s. He retired from 49 I believe.

    They may have crossed paths. I think he was in Jacksonville twice. I think he was with 24 in late 70s and 16 early 80s. Is your Dad still with us?

    I’m sorry to hear. It’s always interesting to see how military careers can tie people together. My wife worked with a guy that was a crew chief for her Dad in the Navy. They never knew until one day her Dad visited her at work. Small world sometimes.

    West coast in VP, east coast on subs.

    Some of the guys I flew with became COs and Commodores in Jax so I've hung with that crowd in Jax.
