I am hopeful that there is a reason that Pearsall and others are in that position on the reg and that it is a positive. “Foundation” or “formula” is one possibility. Talent is another. I mean why does the route exist if it’s not live? Pearsall seems expectant, not like he’s just running pure decoy.

I suspect we are truly bottoming out and it may get worse. Years of malpractice need to be flushed once and for all. Prepare for anything from blowing TAM out to chasing 14 points all day. We are simply dice rollers today.

But I see the promise. Maybe even good football players may need a new home.

And I already see for a certainty that BN has recruiting chops. NIL, which I agree with philosophically, has changed things. Big Dawgs like and want BN, they are being simply bought off (I also don’t begrudge that; I am the son of a coal miner and a wannabe home-maker who had to hustle to make it all work. I would have taken a one-time windfall in a nanosecond. We were desperate.)

Be patient and see if BN’s message sells. It might not. But if the NIL experiment turns out to be what it looks like so far, which is a bunch of mercenaries who put it together occasionally but have no real cohesion, this will work.
