Additionally, the guys has never had lower than an 8 win season (once). Has pretty much hovered in the 10-11 win area his entire time at Michigan. 12 last year, 13 this year so far.

Easier to be patient as a fanbase when you have that high of a floor.

  2. I hope Napier comes to the realization that he needs to delete some responsibilities. Urban Meyer had a neat system for sharing play calls amongst his staff on the field and in the booth. I am not sure how Napier splits the load but I get the impression he is doing too much. If he gets his own recruits to run his own offense and he finds it outdated then he needs to realize it is time to hire an outsider. It might take a couple years before he has enough data to decide on an outside OC. He probably has enough data now to decide to share play calls with his current staff a bit differently than he did this year.

You are very optimistic. I hope that he sees what we see, because if we struggle on third down every drive next year, that means he doesn’t see a passive defense which UF has had for four years which our late DC made famous for the wrong reasons. We can do better with DC coaching help.
Personnel ten yards back on third down has made the Gators look like clowns, only coaching will change this. Play calling on offense put extreme pressure on the QB, he needs to manage this team and let an good OC come in and help. Teams knew our formations and plays, so all they had to do was stack the line of scrimmage. If you say it was the QB, then there is no defense of not letting a backup have a chance to move the team. Poor offensive coaching, not making adjustments. So we wait to see, if what you think is all personnel related, for another year that will not impress our rivals. We waited to see if Mullen would make changes and he didn’t. This is why we are at the bottom rungs of the SEC in just a few years. Let’s hope this is not the route we are going to take, not making timely adjustments through our coaching staff, giving our rivals another year of inconsistent offense and passive defense to gain more momentum in building their programs and losing recruits that could help the Gators climb out of the SEC cellar! Ron Zook could recruit through the roof without the 100 personnel CBN has and could beat some of our rivals. We need help coaching offense and defense even with better personnel. How many times do we have to go through the limitations of coaches. Here we go again, color me down with making necessary coaching changes. Special teams coaching, don’t get me started……..

You're not wrong. I do tend to be an optimist, but I am also a realist. There are issues. Some minor, some glaring. None of us, myself included really know. The guy is working on and changing alot. Wants his players and his scheme with his players. I get that. Ultimately, as a fan, we speculate and the staff acts. All we can do is hope really.
