Three won’t get it either. Our three aren’t very disruptive. We gonna have to pick our spots and bring some pressure. Never three though.

Sometimes relentless pressure all game long yields some great defensive plays. If we have the man power to do it all game long.

But one thing we cannot do is give UGA all day long to pass the ball.

Do not feed the dog. He is only here to find more sacks to slobber.

I realize we have a shot and last week was a big confidence builder…but, the game is going to be won at the line of scrimmage. UGA has a huge advantage on both sides of the ball here. We gotta find a way to keep it close and have our experienced QB pull something out of his hat and pray for their inexperienced QB to make some mistakes.

True, the last time we were a legit team we beat them handily. Now that we are semi-legit and they're down a bit from prior years with their top playmaker out, we ought to be able to give them a game and possibly come out on top.

Relentless pressure would be great if we could do it with four . We can’t do it with five has been the problem

And if we can't get pressure with four? What do you suggest we do? Stunts would be nice... delayed blitzes would be nice too.

The set scheme line-up is not as important as where and what our two deep defense does.

One thing we do need to do is to stack the box... That does not mean we rush all 8 in a jail break blitz, but we can figure out confusing (to UGA's O-line) assignments for those 8 players.

It's all about the right number of players... in the right formation... with the right assignments.

Our D line are gap fillers, not pass rushers. Seem to be to slow to stunt.

Yep. And "relentless" pressure on their qb only becomes significant if we can stuff their running game and force them to throw more than they want. If they don't need to throw much, qb pressure won't play much of a factor in the game.

Good post and point. But it is a rivalry and SOS lived to beat UGA. He was constantly exercising those demons! Smart was playing for UGA when we owned them. Smart is excersing his own demons.

My take is that Georgia is not nearly as confident going into this game as they have been in years past. Not only because of Bowers, but toss in that we aren't the trainwreck we were supposed to be, and they're obviously not as dominant as they have been. They have a new QB and while he can be an all world type of guy, his best game, IMHO was at Aubren in that hostile environment. They are vulnerable. The question is, do we have the mental stamina and confidence to win this and disrupt their game? Can the coaches keep their edge with play-calling and have they done some 'extra' work for this rivalry?

    Game week coming up...it's Fla/Ga ...woo-hoo

    Go Gators.:eek::D

Keeping the edge is what's difficult. UGAG has stacked good recruiting classes on top of good classes but they (and their fans) are at that point of success where winning is more of a relief than being happy about it. The ride up to the top is much more satisfying and filled with happiness than having to stay there.

Lol... you know what I mean.

Some people here make me laugh with their opinions on how we should play a team that's QB1 can throw the ball 60+ yards ACCURATELY down field.

And they think we should drop 8 and give UGA's QB all day long to Pick us apart...

Totally agree. Kirby has this game circled in blood. Like FSU, the Cocktail Party FB game is their biggest regular season game just means more to them like it meant to Spurrier and Meyer.
