The 2012-May 2022 political platform of the Libertarian Party stated, "Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration."

So there’s that. The other big issue is inflation. And given they will know the GOP controls the house and therefore Biden will not be able to pass any significant legislation that could exacerbate that problem I don’t see how this won’t help Warnock. But who knows?

If I’m either of those candidates, this is the conversation I’m having with said libertarian:

 

2020 runoffs in GA had more than 90% of the voting numbers as in the general election. There was barely a drop off, and this was with Trump brilliantly telling people not to vote.

 

90% is still a drop off. And that’s 90% of a 66% turnout. So about 60% participation. A candidate would have to win 85% of the runoff votes to get a true majority.

 

Ranked choice voting accomplishes this. It would also help curtail the extreme candidates.

According to the exit polls the runoff will be decided by white males and evangelicals vs pretty much everyone else.

Makes perfect sense. Evangelicals voting for the abortion having, kids out of wedlock, habitual liar candidate. Versus voting for an actual Reverend. Christians everyone!

 

This is why they need to go strictly to the top two candidates in general elections. The primaries would be a good way to sort that 3 party BS out.
