Just as I suggested: the rental vehicle to the UGA athletic department was reserved for "recruiting: activities. Not that the players in the car were recruits, but why did they have hot chicks taking them to titty bars.

UGA is- still -so effing dirty it makes me sick.

Got the playbook now boys? UGA puts a bunch of white tail on recruits, who take them to titty bars, and Ole Miss gets busted.

And, UGA hairy leghumper, do us a favor and exit this thread pronto.

No wonder Florida recruiting is behind the curve.

Napier is sent on the recruiting trail with bros instead of hows

My guess is uga pays big bucks to keep this from going to discovery. A whole lot of embarrassing nonsense gets outed in discovery.

Huge development here. I had a couple buddies in Athens tell me shortly after that there were some rumors floating around that were not good. I actually hadnt heard about the recruiting staffer being intoxicated. Such a tragic and avoidable situation.

Warrants out for arrest of draft prospect Carter

Drunk? Street racing? Leaving the scene of an accident?

Lock his ass up for a long time. So the girl who died wasn’t even driving? Is that the story now? Seems like the original tale being spun was total bs. Which we probably should have figured.

I believe the story now is that she was driving - intoxicated - and racing Carter. Which he denied at the scene and said he only showed up after hearing it from a nearby apartment complex. When in actuality he was an active participant in the accident but left the scene. Possibly even knowing his teammate didnt survive. But thats just what I pulled from the ESPN article.

Yeah, Carter is only being charged with misdemeanor reckless driving and misdemeanor racing. Sounds like they're trying to keep Carter out of jail when he should really be charged with felonies like leaving the scene of a fatal accident and lying to police. In addition to the likelihood that he was drunk after leaving the strip club late at night with a whole group of players.

Wow that's messed up. Carter is done. A supposed friend and teammate dies and you leave the scene to protect your draft status.

    Yea, that’s not looking good.

I also didn’t realize that they had split that SUV in half via power pole, driving so fast. They are fortunate to even have any survivors.

You would think the survivors of the crash could/would give first hand accounts of what happened and who was involved.

Must have been promised a fat check to keep their mouths shut and tell the same story.

Oh, I was confused that the girls name was “Chandler”. She is no innocent person if she was racing an Expedition at 104mph. That’s insane.

Still. Street racing is a crime. Any contact between the vehicles and it should be automatic. But if the cars didn’t collide, could be banking on lack of evidence. I.E. lack of damage and paying off witnesses. But you can’t rule out a stealth repair job as a possibility with so much $$$ involved.

My thoughts are the police are keeping the charges light to 1) protect UGA player.
    2) to get him to turn himself in and once they have him hit him with their evidence and charge him with a felony.
Fingers crossed it's the latter considering two lives where taken.

The rumor in Athens is that Carter was racing and the staffer was trying to get in front of him to slow him down when she lost control.

    Huh?
She could have slowed him down by NOT giving him anyone to race against. But with a .197 BAC, I’m sure decision-making was not sharpe
