They learn all kinds of things at Georgia don’t they? Leave the scene of a fatal accident (involving your friends no less) and then lie to the cops about it. And get away with it of course. Then no remorse - act like a total asshole (again) and declare which teams you will and will not play for in the NFL. Great representative of their program.

 

I’m afraid integrity and honesty are not valued much these days. Jalen Carter can break the law, lie and then be incredibly arrogant and he gets a pass because he’s a gifted athlete.
Georgia is starting to feel the results from recruiting classes loaded with the best young athletes money can buy. Some of them are not great human beings.
I’d be lying if I said I don’t wish that on anyone. I know I shouldn’t feel that way, but if ever a fan base deserves a comeuppance it is UGA.

The woman killed in this crash was a family friend. Lots of Georgia fans minimize what Carter did as just "speeding" and claim the kid is getting unfairly persecuted. Pathetic

 

I agree that Carter was treated way too leniently. However, this Ormond crash has very different facts. The bad guy smashed into her car while racing.

 

Side note, but I thought it was Peyton Manning in that draft class, who basically threatened to sit out the draft rather than be picked by the Chargers. As a Chargers fan, I was really excited to get Leaf, but boy did he turn out to be a disaster.

 

Certainly not identical but the example was meant to illustrate that racing on public roads let alone surface streets is not a matter of simply speeding. The other person involved who fled had a tuned car and likely not his first rodeo either. He was found and charged although I didn't find updates on a quick search other than the fact the dirt bag tried to conceal his identity and has been since charged with more crimes not related to the racing incident.

 

Believe it was Eli that refused to play for the chargers but I may be mistaken. Leaf was a trainwreck though. Oof!

 

That's right. I got my Mannings mixed. I think the drama around Peyton & Ryan Leaf was just who the Colts would take with the first pick.

You're right. It was Elway who refused to play for the then Baltimore Colts and said he would play pro baseball, if drafted by them.
