Would be great if Toney was demoted to safety coach/co-DC and Collins comes in as DC with play calling abilities. Then maybe Toney can get a look again when Collins promotes out. That allows our D to be better and keep toneys recruiting. The recruits really like him.
Would be a good fit for him, honestly. He could elevate that program back to being mid tier ACC with the occasional competing for a division and they'd be ecstatic. Recruiting expectations and fan expectations are low there and he already lives in GA.
Ga Tech is a very difficult place to recruit to without adding a poor recruiting head coach to the mix. I have to disagree on this one....especially if he brought Grantham along.
Hire Collins immediately as DC. Our defense would improve (can't get much worse honestly). Let Toney do safety's or whatever he (thinks he) is good at. If he is a good recruiter then keep him but his coaching hasn't impressed me.

Logistics say that’s optimistic. Bringing in Collins as an off-the l-field consultant/analyst would work though.
I would like to see Collins come in as a D analyst right away. Don't forget that Raymond is the other Co-DC so you have to account for that.
