    I started looking at this just out of curiosity.

    Both California and Florida are basically controlled by one party, but of course, we can look at the 2020 presidential election results, for example, and see that Florida was much closer and California was more lopsided.

    Do demographics explain why California is much more liberal? At least with respect to residents (voters may be different) Florida has a little higher population over 65, but it's not a huge difference. The differences in percentage of people with HS diploma and college degree don't seem to be that different between the two states. Florida's population is about 6% more White only. Florida has a significantly higher percentage of Black folks (who tend to vote overwhelmingly D), while California has a significantly higher percentage of Asian folks (who lean D but not as greatly). California has significantly more Hispanic people even than Florida, but Hispanic people in Florida tend to be more conservative, and I'm sure much of that is based refugees and immigrants from places like Cuba and Venezuela.

    Hah. Were you in a coma in 2020-2021? Our leaders made it clear that you masked up, lowered your mask to take a bite, then replaced the mask while chewing. Or, be a prominent politician and do whatever and wherever you want. Newsom took Door #2

    I've always thought it was a bit weird that Newsome was once married to Trump jr's current squeeze Kimberly guilfoyle.

    A few thoughts:
    1. Newsom attended a birthday party at a fancy restaurant. He was surprised that there were 12 people there, but he chose to stay. The party was in a separate room at the restaurant. Afterwards, he apologized to the public for not following his advice to them.
    2. I never saw anything from our dear leaders about eating at a restaurant while wearing a mask, and then lowering the mask to pop in a bite of food or take a drink. My guess is that advice was not widely disseminated.
    3. Yes, I was in a coma during 2020 and 2021. What I would like to know is how the hell did you get a hold of my medical records? I will be looking into this further, and you might be hearing from my lawyers.

    Have you been paying attention to what laws are being passed there and what ideas are being bandied around in California? It's bad... and so is he.

    Based on looks alone id say the governor traded up big time in the wife department. That doesn't even factor in Guilfoyle' s wing nut political views.

    How would you decide which governor is doing the best job? Let's see... citizen migration might be one simple factor... LMFAO! Millionaires are moving into one state, and millionaires are moving out of the other state.
