This is a link to Gatorzone's analysis of of each game on our upcoming basketball schedule: Harry Fodder: 2021-22 Game-by-Game B-Ball Breakdown - Florida Gators It looks to be a very challenging schedule.
Yes....very challenging. Here's hoping the new transfers and our super frosh can put together a great team and make a run, a deep run, both through the SEC tournament and the NCAAs.
Kentucky, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee seem to be the first tier of the SEC followed by Ole Miss, Florida, Arkansas, and Miss St as the second tier.
And yet... when it's all said and done, UK and/or UF will almost certainly be the best SEC teams at the end of the season.
Four 7-footers on the FSU roster. What a surprise. I wouldn't count them playing like a bunch of stiffs.
They still only made one Elite 8 in 50 years with all their height and "success". No Final Fours since 1972. While they have beat us head to head as of late, they rarely end finish much better, if at all, than us at the end of the season. This isn't a program we should be envious of.
Since the team usually loses to FSU but gets to the tournament, what annoys you most: 1. Losing to FSU at the start of the season. 2. Losing a tournament game at tbe end of the season.
Florida State has now become a top tier program.unfortunately. Just like football we had it and then no we don’t.
We haven't won a football championship in awhile, but hey... we're consistently in the New Year's Six Bowls. That's top tier to me. We are usually just outside of the 4 team playoff system (which is a joke anyway). As far as basketball... I think every sports analyst said were going to win it all in 2020 if the tournament didn't get cancelled. We would have repeated last year if KJ didn't have to sit out so that's back to back titles right there. Hang the banners.
