Arkansas cut it to 7 but the Gators came back and hit some shot along with great D and opened it back to a 14 pt lead.
It was said at the beginning that she was out due to "coach's decision". Hopefully not a long-term issue since she is on the bench.
That was a great half for us. Shooting pretty well and Arkansas atypically killing themselves with nonstop turnovers.
Other games to follow tonight... LSU @ Miss State... MSU win would give us breathing room to lose at LSU and still hold the tie breaker for 3rd. UT at Bama...probably a UT win but they have been sliding and a loss puts 2nd place in major play for UF. Ole Miss hosting Texas A&M... probably Ole Miss and probably doesn't matter but an Ole Miss loss will almost lock up 4th place for us.
Rather that than injury! Might not be bad to allow more girls quality minutes and Jordyn rest for the stretch run. Wish we could get up big and allow our guards some rest as well. Our depth is such a strength. If we can be deep and rested going into post season play we could be very dangerous.
One half away from a 20-win season, with still plenty of games to play. I sure didn't anticipate this before the season.
Before the whole scandal I would have wagered around 20. After I would have said maybe not, and after the way we started the year I would have said no way. Team has really turned it around though. I'd say 22 regular seaaon is now the expectation. 24 TOTAL is the the most wins in UF history.
