    According to his wife Donna, he passed away in his sleep last night around 11 pm. It was from kidney failure. He will be cremated and there will be a memorial service in Waycross GA in a few weeks according to Donna. She will let me know the date and time when it is finalized.

    I told her of everyone's comments and the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from everyone here at GC and she was very appreciative.

    Condolences to his family. Although I never met David I felt like I knew him. I really enjoyed his posts about his granddaughter Iris.

    Totally agree, never met him in person but talked on the phone and zoom many times. I told him I felt like an "uncle" to Iris having watching her grow up all these years through her videos that he posted.

    Growl was a pillar of this site for over 2 decades. He is one of the reasons many of us became mods and he called so many of the shots here. His fingerprint is all over this place.

    David was the kindest person that I never met in person, yet, felt like was a true friend of mine. He really never met a stranger. I send my deepest condolences to David's entire family... David was the type of person that made others better just by knowing him. I will miss him.... Rest In Peace my good friend.
