Riley hasn't stuck a landing yet on Bars and now on Beam. She's been close. She's still rehabbing her ankles. Gymnastics are rough on the ankles.

Utah at LSU- Utah doesn't appear they'll break 198 tonight. If that's the case, then they won't be able to move up in the standings. So now it's between us and Michigan for #2.

Just stay in second and we’re good. Oklahoma was always in Norman for regionals anyway regardless of where they were ranked.

Clapper does her best when she only does the beam. Let her do her one thing very good.

Sad beam rotation having to drop 9.625 and take Baumann's 9.650. Underperformance rather than beam lineup caused UF to miss out on a 198+ score which could end up being the difference between the 1 seed or the 2 seed.

Of the two, I'm more concerned about Baumann who hasn't been her usual self in several meets during the season. UF needs her consistency back from here on out. I liked seeing Jenny give her a pep talk after her beam performance, didn't waste any time getting to her gymnast. Alyssa has been my favorite UF gymnast over the last 5 years. I'm pulling for her to finish her career with a bang.

Based on the scores tonight, UF has locked up top 4 I think. LSU, Bama and Utah can no longer pass us (or OK). Utah, Auburn and Michigan fighting now for the 2 reminding top 4’s, Michigan and Uaburn could pass us with us with one good meet in Michigan’s case, or 2 in Auburn’s case. We can still catch Oklahoma next week, but would take a big meet and them not improving, and wouldn’t really matter anyway, other than staying ahead of everyone else.
The Michigan Auburn meet tomorrow will help settle the rest of it, but the conference meets will be the final decider likely.
The ideal scenario would be us as 2 or 3 with Michigan and Auburn as 4/5 in some order.

Our updated NQS is 198.050. Oklahoma's score was 197.625 tonight so they don't drop the 197.900. So their NQS stays 198.080. So close!! If we had scored 198.125, which we were on our way to score higher than that, and we would've moved up to the top seed. Damn! Missed opportunity..

Michigan needs to score a 198.450 to pass us and have a NQS of 198.06.
    Utah's updated NQS is 197.87
    LSU 197.73

Next week Oklahoma will be looking to drop a 197.900
and the Gators want to drop a 197.750. So it will come down to Gators scoring .050 higher (198+) than Oklahoma next week like 198.150-198.100

Next week Utah will try to drop a 197.750. So is Florida. If we both score high enough to drop it, Utah would still need to score high enough to catch and pass us, at least .19. Even if we don't drop our lowest counted score, Utah would still need to some huge score. I'm not sure how much but I'm too tired to figure it out. Oh, it's past midnight. Happy Birthday:emoji_birthday: to me!:emoji_beers:

    Night Session:
    1-Florida
    2-LSU
    3 or 4-Auburn
    3 or 4-Alabama
    Day Session
    5-Kentucky
    6-Missouri
    7-Arkansas
    8-Georgia

It still amazes me how far Georgia has fallen from being such a dominate force in College Gymnastics- 10 NCAA Natties-to last in SEC. Was Yucolan that great a coach?

Was thinking the other night that UGA Gym and UF womens tennis dropped off so quickly. Of course UF did with the same coach in place. But it can turn quickly, positive or negative

rhe highest score utah can count after next week is a 19&.575, so that’s .8 they can add, divided by 5. They can’t catch us only Auburn and Michigan can pass us.

Scores from last night FINALLY posted by NC State:

NC State Quad (PDF) - NC State University Athletics (gopack.com)

Quite the drop off on the beam. UF could have and probably should have been 198.200. Still, 197.995 is really good with the lineups put on the floor. It was our regulars who underperformed the most. It happens.

Wherever UF ends up for regionals, I hope we won't again be subjected to missed routines and home team broadcasters who were just above nauseating last night, almost turned the sound off.

The event was so much fun. So much better seeing them in person. We had a very good Gator showing among fans. Made a LOT of noise as the team gave us a lot to cheer about. Alex McMurtry was sitting right behind us. That girl can YELL!

Believe it or not, our 197.95 was the nation's highest road score last night. That includes Oklahoma and Utah's road score.

Jenny once said Baumann had ice in her veins meaning she's fearless and clutch under pressure. This season she seems a little timid or apprehensive.. Like she has lost confidence in herself? A perfect 10 would do wonders for her IMO. Alyssa is my favorite gymmnast- along with The Trinity- and every time she's performing her routine I stop whatever I'm doing and cheer her on (my heart would drop if she wobbled on beam and there goes the 10.0). I thought it was just a matter of time before she joined the 10.0 Club. After her beam routine last night Alyssa looked devastated and Jenny spent a little time consoling her. The team is close and everyone has each other's back. Hopefully they can get her confidence back.
Another observation: at the start of the season Leanne Wong seemed a bit shy and guarded, like she wasn't accustomed of being part of a team. When she would hit her routine and her teammates ran out to high-five her, Wong looked a little surprised and overwhelmed by all the support and love. Last night Leanne looked like she was more engaging and a lot less guarded with teammates and relaxed with their support and High-fiving. It was like she was having fun and really enjoying herself. Before in the beginning of the season she didn't look like she was having fun or hadn't settled into a college routine. Maybe that's why she did so well last night? It could be HUGE for our post-season outlook. Two AA's scoring 39.8+....
