I know this belongs in another forum but I wanted it to be seen Tampa native Gary Koch is the 2023 Payne Stewart Award recipient I have been an acquaintance of Gary's for close to 15 years and have discussed Gator football countless times with him. This is well deserved, he has been a great representative of Gator nation. He is an awesome man. Payne Stewart Award, which has been presented each year since 2000 to the past or current PGA Tour player who most exemplifies Stewart's character, sportsmanship and commitment to charitable giving.
Koch went on to win 10 college championships at the University of Florida and helped the Gators to the 1973 NCAA Championship. He also went 3-0 in the 1975 Walker Cup at St. Andrews.
