When is the MLB draft and how long after that do the players have to sign?

July 9-11. Not sure if there's a deadline to sign. Sometimes they sign the next day, as contracts are agreed beforehand. Sometimes negotiations take a while. What we don't know is if any of our signees have told MLB they're going to college no matter what.

No doubt LSU is paying much more, but UF actually is putting money towards NIL for baseball compared to a program like Tennessee or FSU.

I know they were heavily involved last year, but their mods were just talking about how their NIL for baseball wasn't comparable to what other SEC schools were doing.

Some thought Cags would be the closer this year and Neely would be a starter. Didn't happen as he and Neely sort of switched predictions.
Of course a closer has to throw strikes.

What I would really like to see with Cags in a major face lift to his pitching mechanics. Right now we have a tremendously big strong athlete who can sling the chit outta the baseball but doesn’t have any feel or touch for actually pitching.

Solid mechanics that he understands and can duplicate have to be instilled to the point of being second nature to him.

All with his body under his control he needs to be able to acquire and duplicate 1) Rocker step 2) Pivot 3) Lift to balance point 4) Leg drive 5) Release (in the circle) and 6) Follow through (with his back down parallel to the ground).

When he accomplishes these together he acquires the three C’s of pitching—Command/Control/and Confidence.

He will be a real treat to see/watch pitch with these issues ironed out IMHO. I truly hope we see it happen.

Roster/Transfers/Lineup changes made to all for the three above. I'm surprised by Fabian but not the other two. Sure would love to be a fly on the wall in Sully's office.

Why does Billy Amick already show up on this list when originally posted on June 6th? Has Amick already transferred to Florida?

That's 8 guys who have left. I'm surprised about Deric as well, but wish all of them nothing but the best. I expect a few more to hit the portal before all is said and done.

You really couldn’t see that coming? I thought it was a given the way his season went.

Earlier reports I got said Deric wasn't going anywhere. I guess the late transfers changed all that.
