I've made some updates to the first two posts to help keep track of all the moving parts. I must say looking at the potential new faces/changes from where we started last year to how things look this year, it feels like a whole new team as far as fielders. We have plenty of new faces on the pitching staff that might end up the starters and leaders on this team but its still good to see many of the relievers hopefully coming back for next year. I say all this in hopes we are seeing a change in Sully for the better as he starts to remold and shape this team into a contender for the CWS. Only time will tell.

    Possible lineup for now
    1B - Jac Caglianone/Xavier Isaac
    2B - Dale Thomas/Tyler Shelnut
    SS - Josh Rivera/Deric Fabian
    3B - Colby Halter/Dale Thomas
    C - Luke Heyman/Salvador Alvarez/Rene Lastres???
    LF - (Colby Thomas)/Yoel Tejeda/Michael Robertson
    CF - Wyatt Langford/Michael Robertson
    RF - Ty Evans/Matt Prevesk

    Pitchers
Possible Starters - Brandon Neely, Tyler Nesbitt, Pierce Coppola, Hurston Waldrep, Magnus Ellerts, Jake Clemente
Relievers - Ryan Slater, Jac Caglianone, Fisher Jameson, Anthony Ursitti, Blake Purnell, Nick Ficarrotta, Carsten Finnvold, Philip Abner, Sam Sloan, Cade Fisher, William Ross

I think Sam Sloan is gone.

Highly likely josh rivera gets drafted at some point and signs.

BT rio pellet has higher chance of coming back then rivera.

I think BT will be coming back as he seems to have indicated he is to the coaching staff.

Rivera is a real wild card for me. There is no real signing value in the 6-10th round BUT Rivera hasn’t really improved offensively so far. He has improved a lot defensively. Without more improvement offensively, not sure he gains much coming back. Of course, he might improve and he is going to likely be in the minors for a while as of right now. Who knows what happens with him.

Rivera should come back if he feels like he has more in his bat. If he can produce he's a top 1-3 round kid. Jud on the other hand has lost money from what I've heard. He won't get $2M +

I appreciate everyone's input on who is gone and who is staying. I try not to overly make decisions on who is where on the lists until it settles down in mid-August. I could go back and forth on Riopelle. If I had to guess my heart would say he's coming back but my head says a guy 1st team SEC needs to go. At some point I just leave them where they lie and wait to clear things up while we read the tea leaves. I'd be surprised if we get Ellerts. I don't know what to think about Sloan and Rivera is probably going to do whatever Rivera wants to do regardless of the draft. So for the most part I leave them alone because it will all clear up in another 5-6 weeks....hopefully.

Word from above is Guscette is most likely to Alabama. That Crawford kid from UConn is now looking at Tennessee.

I think everyone has to be signed by August 1st right? Crazy short window this year I thought.

Think your right, I'm going off of last year. I'm sure there will still be a few surprises or unknowns during the first week of school as always.

Right. I googled it last night and couldn’t find a date so I am also guessing based on 2021.

Been talking about Ellerts for quite a while in fact I think I wished him here early this year at one point in one of my posts.
Monster this year in JC. If makes it to campus our staff COULD be filthy.

At this point no news is good news. The next few weeks will tell us a great deal about the possibilities.

Yeah, unfortunately some of those that have seen him and have some knowledge say he’s definitely going in top 10 rounds.
I would say what we have going for us is that he only pitched 5 to 6 innings a start but that could also work against us as that scouts see a live and fresh arm without many innings on it.
Remember this is a kid that was drafted in the short draft just a year or two ago before he had fully blown up. Hoping the JC kid from Alabama can help us. Is ERA was a little high but he comes from a great high school program and dad put up 10 wins I believe in junior college.

Crawford to Tennessee . . . . . might be a very short stay with the draft this weekend.
