When was the last time you saw this as the starting pitchers ERAs for a game. That almost 18 combined.
    PROB. STARTER
RHP Nick Pogue (0-1, 7.71 ERA)
RHP Dallas Tease (0-3, 10.13 ERA)

Props to Guscette who has now raised his average above .300 after getting 2 hits against FAMU. It is important to note Mac bats much better against RHP than LHP. RHP he is well above .370 but LHP he is below .150. Arkansas weekend rotation is usually 2 RHP and 1 LHP.

We are at a much higher ceiling w Mac hitting well. Will make us much better with a solid bat at the back end of the order

Weekend remarks and I haven't read anyone's remarks...
When I left the stadium Thursday I said I wouldn't even bother to come back on Saturday if they didn't win Friday. Basically I didn't want to see our beloved Gators get swept at home and that's how it felt. When I woke up Friday I told someone, the Gator's baseball season was as good as over, and he agreed. Then the complete reversal happened Friday. Sproat looked just as good as the Arky starter from Thursday. He was the best I have ever seen him pitch. So I had to go back for Saturday if only the slightest hope could pull us thru with a pieced together pitching effort. I'll never forget what I told the ticket taker at the gate as I left after the last out, I never would have believed it unless I seen it. What a turn around a game makes. As I messaged JJH, I had never seen a Gator baseball player so happy to hit a sacrifice fly as Deric Fabian did down there at 1st base. That was some real emotion that this team needed. Then of course that was followed with a two out double by Halter and then Deric's brother, after just watching his little brother celebrating his success, hits a blistering liner past the third basemen who could only hope to get his glove near it, as Halter goes running around third to score an insurance run. The key that Sully has been saying this team was full of emotion today and determined to go win a game. I saw a little of it in the pregame run out huddle. It wasn't much but it was more than the normal in the huddle. Now can they take that same willingness on the road to Tally and Nashville?

Curious to see if Pogue can keep improving and give some solid innings in Tally. Would go a long way to extending the options on the mound

gotta believe. Without belief and a positive mindset there is nothing. I believed last week we could take you out of three from Arkansas. I believe we can do big things. People like to poke fun ( just a few) but Pogue’s last outing, Nesbitt’s continued consistency ( one bad outing out of 15 his first 2 years) Neely’s emergence, and Slater ( off today but big future) show a bright future.

I also have to give Sully a mention and credit. Great job when he called time after Deric over swung at that first pitch in the 8th with 1 out and a man on 3rd. Sully rarely calls time to talk to a hitter, but this time he came out went over what they needed and got Deric to focus on lifting one to center. He kept it in the middle of the field and that's why I saw Deric out past first having a party watching Rivera score the got ahead run off of Deric's sac fly. Great job Sully and Deric.

Now they need to go to Tallahassee and get another win against the Noles. FSU is struggling right now - down to 18-12, 7-7 in the ACC and losers of 6 of their last 8 games.

Bunting played a huge role in this series. Several times it really helped us. Gotta keep doing that!!

Nic Fic has been pretty bad his last couple of times out. Think he might have dropped in the pecking order.

I agree, Fic and Manning both have seemed to have lost all three of the C’s of successful pitchers—Command, Control, and Confidence.
Really got to figure it out. If they would just sit down and watch their own film they would have the needed answers IMHO.

I was pretty surprised to see him at the end of the game on Thursday night considering he has had some rough outings recently. Think he threw 14 pitches and gave up 5 runs. Nesbitt looks like he could be another key piece and Abner has looked better and better. The Neely/Slater duo did a passable job on Saturday against a really good lineup too. Hopefully things are starting to sort themselves out.

Okay so did anyone here before the season have Florida and Vanderbilt tied after 4 weekends of SEC play but in 8th place together and Georgia tied for 2nd? Anyone Anyone, Bueller Bueller? The way I look at it, we are 3 games out of 2nd place with 18 games to go. If we can go 3-3 or even 2-4 over the next 2 weekends the schedule gets much easier to finish it out.

Wow!! I felt we’d be 3rd-4th. Strange but right now I feel somewhat comfortable (at least for now). We can go 2-2 this week and I’ll be happy!!
