With all these transfers… I think we will have to learn to love the Gators year to year like UK basketball does. Which I’m ok with. but has anyone taken a shot at what our depth chart will look like on offense and defense? I’m interested to see anyone’s guesses. DLINE, lb and secondary look completely different. OLINE as well. I pretty much can guess the other spots (RB, TE, Wr)

Hard to say as of late lots of moving pieces.
See how good they are through the spring.

I am hopeful the new guys can fill the gaps and maybe improve on what was lost.

Pretty sure I don’t need to learn to love the Gators year to year. I’ll just always love them. Thanks for looking out though

The players. It’s going to be a year to year deal. For example, I loved ETN last year… This year I will not like him… And that way you and I will be loving them year to year with new rosters every single year. Much like Kentucky basketball…

I won’t be loving that stinking mutt ever again either. I wish him a healthy life as a failure at football. I hope he gets a long life of heavy labor.

It's always been close to that anyway. Every year a batch recruits come in and Jr/Srs leave. We have always had a 2 to 3 yr rotation of players with a small group that you get 4 yrs out of.

    I'll take a stab at the pre-spring 2 deep.

    QB Mertz/Lagway
    RB Johnson/Carroll
    WR Wilson/Jean
    WR Dike/Mizell
    WR Jackson/Burke
    TE Hansen/Zipperer
    OT Barber/Manuel
    OG Harris/Williams
    OC Slaughter/Kearney
    OG Waites/George
    OT BCD/Jones

    DE Sapp/Boone
    DT Jackson/Watson
    DT Slackman/Banks
    DE Searcy/Pyburn
    LB James/Wingo
    LB Nunnery/Howard
    CB Marshall/Jackson
    S Turner/Douglas
    S Castell/Thornton
    CB Moore/Johnson
    NB Bridges/Denson

Post-spring, I think we may see some shuffling at WR, DE and LB.

I like Howard or one of the freshman in front of Nunnary.
Also, Manuel in front of Barber.
    TE Hansen or Boardingham/Zipperer

I like it. Maybe catching passes depth is …
Also need more production at DE to win sec games. Hopefully Kelby Collins and McCray make an impact and force their way into the field.

    It seems so.

With his 2019 R-shirt and 2020 covid exception, he gets a 6th year in 2024. It appears he’s just taking the 6th season without an announcement.

Back. He did have a second surgery in the late fall, not sure if that impacted anything

Good job. I’ll piggyback off your work. I’ll add some names and make a few changes. TE is the only position where I have significant changes.

    QB Mertz/Lagway*/Millen
RB Johnson/Webb/Carroll or Daniels* or Baugh*
    WR Wilson/Jean
    WR Dike/Mizell
    WR Jackson/Burke
    TE Boardingham/Hansen/Livingston or Zipp
    OT Barber/Jones
    OG Harris/Lovett
    OC Slaughter/Kearney
    OG Williams/ Waites or George
    OT BCD/Manuel/Westphal*

DE Collins or Sapp/McCray* or K. James
    DT Jackson/Banks/Watson
    DT Slackman/Lyons/Taylor or Hill
    DE Searcy/Gumbs or Boone/Pyburn
    LB S. James/Wingo/Nunnery
    LB Robinson or Howard/Graham*
    CB Marshall/Jackson
    S Turner/Douglas/Moten
    S Castell/Thornton
    CB Moore/Johnson
    NB Bridges/Denson

In a true 2-deep, you list backsups at multiple positions when a player is the backup at multiple positions. That’ll happen, but not for this pre-spring depth chart. We want to see the individual players and not confuse the roster numbers.

There will be many changes. I see Waites and George as swing OG/OT players this spring; who knows where they end up?!? If the new OTs show out, Barber could be at OG as well… Ton of talent at DE (edge). Gonna be fun to see how that shakes out. I put Sapp at DE, but he'll play all over the DL. I put McCray at DE for spring. This time next year he probably takes Slackman’s spot at DT.

If we add just one more player, I want another WR.
