I'm getting this thread up so people can start making comments about the Regional Finals. The Gators are now 48-12 and are awaiting whoever comes out of the Loser's bracket, who would have to beat Florida twice to advance. Florida Atlantic is beating Florida Gulf Coast 1-0 in the top of the 5th as of 7:50 pm. The loser goes home, the winner plays South Alabama in an elimination game later tonight, weather permitting.
Once the opponent, game time and TV coverage are known, I'll update. GOO Gators!!!

According to UF official sports website it has us playing at 12...but weather tonight or tomorrow could change that

Yeah, that's why I didn't put the time up there yet. Also looks like we get the ESPN+ treatment again.
Florida Gulf Coast is ahead of FAU 3-1 going to the bottom of the 7th. Weather forecast for Gainesville has changed some and it looks like they can play the 2nd game tonight and the rain doesn't look as bad for tomorrow as it did several hours ago.

Assuming a 9:30ish start to the USA v. FGCU game, they'd need to play well past midnight for weather to be an issue. For the record, I'm good with them going extras innings.

FGCU beat FAU 3-2. Will play South Alabama about 9:45, winner to face Florida tomorrow.

So, in an ongoing regional tournament, the NCAA decides to assist the USA v. FGCU game winner by moving the Sunday game time four hours? Wouldn't they also benefit from being spotted a three run lead to start the game? Or maybe make CTW start McLellan in CF, instead of Falby. This is somewhat tongue in cheek, but trying to make things fair shouldn't be the NCAA's role.

She’s gonna be asked to throw a bunch more tomorrow. Hopefully our girls help her out tomorrow and limit her to about five innings total, no matter how many pitches she throws.

I think we are the only seed that has been strictly on streaming aside from one game except for alabama and UL maybe. We are the number 4 national seed and should be on TV. The 3 in front of us and OSU have all been on twice I believe.

Pretty sure it had to do with the weather forecast. Last night it was showing rain in Gainesville unhtil about 2 pm. Now, however, it's perfectly sunny with no rain expected until about 7 pm. Doesn't matter. Our girls are on a mission and like Jefferson Starship sang, "Nothin's Gonna Stop Us Now."

This game should have started at noon. Possible late afternoon weather. Wish Florida had an athletics director.

Believe what you will. The weather app on my phone showed there was a 2% chance of rain in GVL at noon today. I'm a big believer in Occam's Razor. Starting earlier also gave them a wider weather window to get game(s) played.
