Perhaps the heat and humidity drains the energy from the crowd
I have been in the Swamp during super hot and humid games-it is draining-you tend to conserve energy for some exciting play-I am sure that's part of it-we were down 3-0 at the beginning of the game and couldn't find an answer to their pitcher today

We need Falby to be a factor on offense. She's killing us a bit. 0 for 8 in these two games.

Being behind the whole game certainly doesn’t help. I’ve been to several of their games this year. The crowd can be lively, even when it’s small.

We didn't show that fight today which concerns me more than anything.

And maybe their body language translated over to the crowd?? If they are not enthusiastic and pumped up-perhaps the crowd feels it too-Hopefully just an off day and we will come back stronger tomorrow-

Who would you start tomorrow? I think I would start Ava. The heat in Gainesville tomorrow is going to be oppressive, 94 degrees. I've got to think Ava, being from the Houston area can deal with the heat better than Keagan.

No excuses this time of year, but down 3 in inn 1 sucks the life out of most crowds. Plus 75 and low humidity in Columbia vs 90 in Gville and a 11 o'clock start time doesn't help.
Hopefully Gators jump out to an early lead tomorrow and the crowd is energized.

Was she there? We know you weren’t. It’s easy to criticize the crowd from your air conditioned living rooms.

I’d also like to see you tell any of those ladies that they show no fight.

It's just how it has played on TV. Not criticizing. Believe me I'd be there if I could

Tend to agree. The Baylor pitchers' season stats are pretty equal but today's girl has the better w/l record. Maybe our pitchers can throw a scoreless first inning Sunday.

As has been noted, Gator bats need to step up. Too many weak ABs.

I said they didn't show fight today... not all the time. They have shown fight all season long. We never got any kind of rally going. That 10am start made me nervous for that reason. Ava and defense was great. Offense was way too quiet today.
Im going to ignore your comment about not being there because i would be if i could. Heat is not a factor. I have sat and played through many games in Florida humidity and heat.

However, Lorenz obviously has been there in thst position and welll earned a right to make that comment lmao. Said she loved gatornation but wanted them to be loud and take advantage of creating a hostile environment and being a host.

My whole point of this post is everything about the Gator aside form Brown maybe felt dead. The crowd the energy just all of it. 10am is a killer. That being said... I fully expect us to come out on fire tomorrow.

Whoever is in charge of KSP doesn't make it easy for the crowd to generate some organic excitement. Loud music is played almost constantly.

There is one woman super-fan on the 3B line who has organized a "Two Bits" cheer for as long as I can remember after the 4th inning. But now, she has to do that on top of loud music.

Her husband often starts the Orange/Blue, but can't do that until play has already resumed, because music plays until the ump singles "ready" to the pitcher. It's unfortunate that whoever controls the music can't look out the window and work with the crowd.
    /RANT MODE OFF

You can't call them "lucky" plays because they involved great skill. But you can call them "unusual" plays. There was one where the Baylor LF ran in and dove for the ball. She caught it, but had no backup so had she missed it was a long roll to the wall.

Baylor had a several plays where the classier fans at KSP applauded because they were just so outstanding.

But like you said, if some of the outstanding plays didn't work out, this would have been a very different ballgame.
