The Gators bring out the best in people. Everyone wants to beat us always. Fgcu isn’t going to win but they played a great game. Props to their starting pitcher today. She did a great job.

Nicely done, Gators. How many time did the Florida 3rd baseman make put outs? I guess about 8.

Just curious as I was bored and looked at Gator stats and saw here with 5 RBIs on the season with only 30 official ABs. 0 in SEC play, but only 5 ABs.

Had to be a tough season for her after being a starter all of 2023 with 100+ ABs.
Credit to her for being ready when called upon.

 

Disagree on that. You never see her with a hit standing on 1B but you often see her standing on 2B or crossing the plate with all of her teammates grouped around doing the Gator chomp. Her average is not good, but when she connects, it is very very bad for the other team. I'd pitch her cautiously as well.
And if you do walk her, its not like she is going to steal 2B.

 

Not to quibble but Mia is 9-9 in stolen bases this year. She has very decent speed for her body type. Beating the play to second today is another example.

 

What's up with that? With a huge lead, two outs, and still pitching well, you don't let Rothrock finish the shutout? I guess a FGCU shutout isn't much to crow about and you want to let AB get some Regional experience before its crunch time.

 

Now...Ava....if she had better speed she would easily have another 5-8 hits this year. Today was another example with the ball deep into the 5-6 hole.

 

Whoops! My bad. My seats are in the sun at KSP. I think my brain overheated. I thought we were talking about Ava Brown. My post makes no sense at all.
